37 years ago today (April 19) in 1987, the first Simpsons short "Good Night" aired on The Tracey Ullman show. I wasn't watching (I was 7), but I was watching when the Simpsons aired as its own series a couple years later.
The Simpsons is a show that has remained relevant all these years thanks to its inclusion of issues that plague modern society. Episode 764 isn't going to be any different:
《Marge gets a job in a high-pressure ghost kitchen, but when she tries to start a union, she gets more than she collectively bargained for.》
@adrianmorales I can't judge for other countries, but union groups here in .nl are terrible. And that's mainly because they have become for profit organisations themselves. At some point they underpaid they're own enlisted employees who weren't allowed to protest against it 😆.
But we've got it better than most countries labourers already, so we don't really 'need' them here that much luckily
@martijn I live in a place where almost everyone has this weird concept that the grass is always greener on the other side. That makes no sense. There are problems all over the world.
This time I'm comparing the story structure of Mario Wonder with The Simpsons. Specifically looking at plot beats and how they work, hoping to understand how to say more with less.
Nancy Cartwright is a voice actor most famous for an array of characters on The Simpsons. This includes the iconic voice of Bart. Here she shares 7 of them in direct succession.
