Rahul Dewan is the founder of #Srijan and sits on the Board of Directors of the @drupalassoc. Today on LinkedIn we spouted off against question about gender and sexuality on a survey created by #Drupal Association staff.
We can talk about whether we are surprised that an outspoken anti-LGBTQIA+ person is on the board. But the real question is will he remain on the board after this?
Let’s not forget #Drupal’s future depends on a healthy ecosystem for #PHP. When we have discussions about the future of Drupal or #WordPress or any other project that depends on PHP, we shouldn’t forget to also discuss how we can ensure a future for the programming language that powers these. https://mastodon.social/@palantir/112292234589621144
Hi friends! My team is looking to fill a front-end #Drupal position quickly. If you or someone you know would like to apply, do so quickly. Let me know if you have any questions!
The good folks at Ironstar are doing their annual survey of the #drupal community about Local Development. These are really useful numbers for our community to help determine which tools we are using.
Thanks to the heroic work by @andy_blum@mglaman, & many others, #Drupal now allows you to control the cloning of starterkit themes through a simple YAML file (prev was PHP)!
A prolific contributor, Théodore Biadala (aka @nod_), is looking to get sponsored to work on #Drupal core and is willing to share in the credit in exchange for sponsorships. Interesting approach, I look forward to how it progresses.
I was super-surprised that I couldn't find an up-to-date, well-written explanation of why and how the #drupal settings.local.php file should be used. So I wrote one.
Big news! Pantheon is finally responding to the widespread frustration in the #Drupal community about their platforming hate groups. They are changing their terms of service and will stop hosting ADF and other customers designated by the Southern Poverty Law Center as gate groups.
I'm looking to contract with a #Drupal consultant to make a Drupal 7 site as reliable and bug-free as possible for the next 6 months while another team (already in contract) builds its Wordpress replacement.
(Context: I'm the IT Manager at a research nonprofit)
Recommendations? Hoping for someone with integrity, who has suitable Drupal skills, who works well remotely, and who is OK with the fact that this is a relatively small bugfix/maintenance gig - we're not going to build anew on Drupal.
woo! check it out if you're looking for a #JavaScript client for sourcing data from Drupal. Feedback is welcome. Post 1.0 the focus is on documentation. After that I'd like to focus on getting the returned data properly typed, possibly with zod.
