To what extent does implement ? Can any Gitea organizations, users, repos be followed ? How is their username determined ? Is there any support for some kind of discovery of actors from a Gitea node ? It would be useful to be able to follow the software development activities

AFAIK the implementation of in (and its fork ) is still work in progress, and not activated on production instances.
Maybe @smallcircles knows more about the current state?

Yes, all still WIP as far as I know. Most active on the federation side is Gitlab, atm. see: https://gitlab.com/groups/gitlab-org/-/epics/11247

And the reference impl. Vervis is exploring new grounds with actor model and object capabilities.
