Does anyone think this person isn't lying? Like, to an empathetic person who genuinely opposes racism, it should be obvious that if you're talking about something that could be harassment, and it's being done to a Black person, then it's extremely reasonable to conclude that racism is at play.
So, to volunteer to reply to a Black person who's pointing out racist harassment to tell them that, in your opinion, it's harassment that's not "specifically anti-black" would be essentially to tell that Black person that there's nothing specific about them to you. Which is racist.

the other thing i wanted to say about this- it takes so much energy out of me to see replies like this in response to the situation. people like this are not helping me/us in any way. they're just stressing me out.
i already took care of the user in question and am prepared to do more if they continue, because i agree about the original incident we're responding to. it was needless harassment, and if folks cannot see the anti-Blackness in it - well, i'd appreciate it if they left me out of it.
i don't want any part in their crusade and i have zero interest in being anyone's token. this is why i specifically said the other day that i don't want to litigate it any further and i don't want anyone trying to on our behalf. they're entitled to do what they want, so stop harassing them and stay tf away from me.

Très bonne chronique de Thibault Prévost pour Arrêt sur images, qui compile pas mal de publications récentes sur les IA génératives (merci pour le temps gagné) et pointe notamment les changements dans le fonctionnement du moteur de recherche de Google (bientôt dopé à l'IA, et "gérée comme un feed de réseau social"), le tout en restant aveugle aux "conséquences sur les rapports de pouvoir entre la Silicon Valley et la société civile."
Il fait en effet bon rappeler que le taux d'erreur de ChatGPT4 oscille entre 2,5 et 25 % : rien qui ne devrait pousser à faire des IA génératives les nouveaux portails de l'information. Ce sont selon le journaliste des "armes de désinformation massive".
Qu'on partage ou non la tonalité du papier, on conviendra que ces objets nous ont fait passer dans une nouvelle ère, où il devient difficile, sinon impossible de reproduire 2 résultats à l'identique dans une machine.
Comme l'écrit @hubertguillaud dans la newsletter " @danslesalgorithmes : "la grande difficulté consiste à savoir là où on peut leur faire confiance et là où on ne doit pas leur faire confiance."

J'essaie toujours de court-circuiter les demandes par ticket/mail précisément pour cette raison : c'est enterré ou pas pris en compte dans les temps dans 99% des cas

Le nœud de l'affaire étant : je bosse à Saint-Denis, je cherche un logement dans les Côtes-d'Armor : il faudrait rassurer les parasites que je vais bien garder mon poste et que je vais télétravailler.
