@AlexanderKingsbury@shiri@mmby@Daojoan “Could” is not a substitute for “Will.” NFT could have revolutionized a lot of things but the most common use case for them became to scam people and launder money. Given the implementations I see now, I have no reason to be even slightly optimistic about what we call Ai.
Also, no artist has ever asked for this, and most have had their livelihoods jepardized by how it. But sure, let’s keep pretending we’re doing them a favor.
This sanctuary was built on a site that used to be a turtle farm and ranch. Today, it's both a museum and a research center that rescues, treats, and cares for sea turtles. It also provides a long-term home for those that are too weak to be released into the ocean.
I love this place. Here are some of my pics from today 🐢
Sweden allows Ukraine to strike on Russian territory with its supplied weapons.
"Ukraine is subject to an unprovoked and illegal war of aggression by Russia. Ukraine has the right under international law to defend itself through acts of war directed against the territory of the opponent as long as the acts of war comply with the laws of war. Sweden supports international law and Ukraine's right to defend itself," Defense Minister Pål Jonson said.
@noelreports
Every country's citizens need to decide for themselves whether or not to allow Ukraine to use the weapons that they are providing to them to bomb the native territory of the Russian Federation.
If the Ukrainians don't like any restrictions placed on their weapons use than they are free to refuse to accept them.
"This photo was taken by one of the firefighters of the Dnipropetrovsk region as they extinguished a fire after a Russian strike.
A huge hole in the ceiling was left by a Russian drone.
This is the wound that hurts everyone. For every city and village, for our people. For Kharkiv Oblast, Kherson Oblast, Sumy Oblast, Chernihiv Oblast, Zaporizhzhia, Donetsk Oblast, Odesa Oblast, Mykolaiv Oblast... For every piece of our land."
@gsuberland Yep this is something I've started to design into my architecture, prototyping on the trigger crossbar and then scaling to a next-generation system with more capabilities on my next project.
Luckily there's not a whole lot to worry about in terms of data integrity because MicroKVS is a) seldom written and b) designed to not corrupt data if interrupted at any point.
At some point I need to build a board where I can test that assumption: have one MCU that controls power to another and the target is just constantly booting up, doing KVS reads and writes, and being randomly reset/power cycled.
@lauren@davidho Personally, I’d rather see cities invest more in bicycle infrastructure and public transit, especially the latter that can accommodate those who can’t bike.
