@RickiTarr I'm thinking around 23. Was living with my now wife, we were both young, fit, no aches, tons of sex, and you could get hammered any night and be fine at 7:30 in the morning.
@RickiTarr this is a tough one. 12 is probably my peak physical condition, as that is right before my lung health took its planned nose dive of a cliff. If this includes the brain, then whatever my age last week would be best
I have a vivid memory frozen in time of age 19 walking out the door into the summer sunshine, the breeze wafting about and lifting my hair. I felt lighter than air.
Everything worked. No pain, no aches, full of vigour and joie de vivre.
@RickiTarr 40s, I guess. Wasn't til then that I stopped caring much about approval, can still be in great shape at that age, and in our culture it seems that age for a man gets the most respect.
@RickiTarr In a sense, I believe we are still all of the ages we have been.
35 was the beginning of an excellent time for me on many levels, so I still try to tap into that age mindset when it's suited.
@RickiTarr
For me, I vote for 29, because at that age I was finally reasonably healthy for the first time since I was 13. A few ups and downs and twists and turns since then, but more or less healthy.
@RickiTarr Mentally, I'm still 21, because I felt free for the first time and everything was exciting, full of possibilities, so I'm effectively paused at that but with more experience. I'm lucky to not have health issues to impact my abilities. I climbed a steep hill at 40 and passed a group of high school boys who were huffing and puffing and complaining about not being able to make the top.
@DemocracySpot@RickiTarr My aunt took me to the LA arboretum sometimes, and they had peacocks. I don't remember much about that particular day. I was all tanned and fit from playing on Muscle Beach every day, ropes, swings, ocean waves, hair was always blond by the end of summer, it was a good time
@RickiTarr 33. The last age I was before my life changing work injury, I was at the height of my strength, flexibility, immune system, and I was entering a psychological golden age. I miss my strength and pain free days a lot
focusing on peak cognitive performance, i thought it was age 25. but looking it up it's apparently age 50 for what seems to be the most important factors
so now i'm confused and i don't know what age is best to pause body aging
my confusion might be my cognitive decline speaking...
@benroyce@RickiTarr I believe my schoolmates and I were at our intellectual peak around 12, before phberty hit. Testosterone is brain poison. Granted, we were mostly in the near-prodigy category.
