It's a double delight today as it's the well-known #ThrowbackThursday and I found myself reflecting on a TV show from the past. I couldn't wait to share it in my post. (If you loved #MastersOfTheAir I have a special gift for you! 😊)
A little bit into the series now. Lord, Winslet’s good. Don’t know if you have any first-hand acquaintance with the particular U.S. setting or folks of this background — and one doesn’t have to, of course, to appreciate what’s achieved. Still, wow, it is something to see her as this character.
@pdbowman I'm really glad you liked it! Kate Winslet's performance is fantastic! It's refreshing to see such big-screen talent grace TV shows nowadays. Mare of Easttown was definitely a binge-worthy experience for me, I finished it in just one weekend!
@jasonekratz Absolutely! Band of Brothers set the bar high, no doubt about that! But Masters of the Air is holding its own, especially among this year's new TV shows—it's ranking pretty high for me. Plus, it's another baby of Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, so it's hard to be too critical.😊 They tend to deliver quality every time!
