I bought this album in 1970 while in high school, for no other reason than I was mezmorized by the cover art, and heard that Miles is hip and I should be listening to him. At the time, I didn't get it and shelved it for years. It took being exposed to much more music to understand what genius is contained on these disks. So much history and influences are amalgamated into this music. #jazz#afro#rock#freejazz#milesdavis#BitchesBrew#nowplaying#vinyl

While working on my BBA at UWM, I spent 3 months studying business in Paris. I took this while I was there. I took it on my very first digital camera in the early 2000s.
my new album 'Northbound' has been released today 🎈
I have been working on it for the last two years and I'm excited to share it now.
It contains #downtempo music as well as #electronic#club#music with elements of #Soul & #Afro and on three of the tracks wonderful vocalist #Jepka is featured again. Really happy to see it released now and thanks to everyone who supported/bought it already 🙌

God Is Dead
It might not be the greatest trick the Devil ever pulled, but convincing metal fans to embrace doo-wop was no mean achievement. Despite sounding like some dust-covered relic from the late '50s, TWIN TEMPLE made light work of qualifying for metalheads' affections with their first album "Twin Temple (...
I chatted with a mate about my Taino heritage because he's also Taino and he discovered I'm not just Taino, but Afro - Taino according to my DNA results. I honestly never knew this. I knew my DNA results had stuff like the Congo, Northern Africa, Indigenous South American, and so on. But I didn't know what that meant.
I want to know more about where I came from, what my people and culture was like. I want to understand my history better.
I was curious if there was anyone who's also Afro - Taino who might be able to help guide me on where to look? Who to talk to, etc.
I'm still learning what it means to be Taino, but now I want to know what it means to be Afro - Taino. I want to know what happened to my people, etc. There's so much more stuff I want to know I honestly don't know where to even start.
I'm a German music producer releasing mainly #Afro#Funk#Soul & #Jazz influenced music as Renegades Of Jazz. I will post about upcoming releases & other music related stuff.
On the 14th of July my new single 'Feeling Alright' will be out, but you can already listen to it exclusively here on @radiofreefedi hope you enjoy! 📻
RIP Gift of Gab, sad loss last year. He really crafted some storming collabs. Check his mixtape album projects like Supreme Lyricism Vol .1 & 2 in particular. Stella lineups.
Here's one of Gab's tracks from a couple of years earlier than Guard the Fort. Triple decker with Afro & RA.
