Who exists 2 mete out #censure? No 1. None of it matters to Alito. This is great advantage of conservatives’ having built their own media infrastructure, their own echo chamber w its own twisted morality (rule #1: If it helps us stay in power, do it; rule number two: If it infuriates the libs, do it over and over). They can tune us out completely. Ditto polls. They just don’t care.
There is no such thing as shame anymore w for #Alito & fellow Justice #ClarenceThomas. https://newrepublic.com/article/181732/samuel-alito-clarence-thomas-theocratic-leninists

"Shortly after the Times story [about Alito and the insurrectionist flag] ran, Republicans on the House Committee on the Judiciary posted on X a picture of Alito and Thomas with the all-caps caption, 'AMERICAN HEROES.' They’re praising Alito and Thomas because it triggers the libs, those beleaguered folks who foolishly believe that norms and rules matter."

"HOW MANY LAST STRAWS can there be? When it comes to the Supreme Court, the supply appears to be infinite.

The Court needs an extreme makeover ASAP, and that is far from an extreme idea. It’s the only path back to a high court that is trustworthy, balanced, logical, and durable."

~ Jill Lawrence

P.S. I'll second this assessment despite Lawrence's obligatory mendacious "conservative" both-sidesism.

A political cartoon by Bill Bramhall commenting on the open political shenanigans of two wives of Supreme Court justices – Alito and Thomas – and how this explodes the claims of those justices to issue judicial rulings with impartiality.

Let’s start off with fact that needs to immediately. It’s reported Alito was flying upside down flag outside his house after . He responded by blaming his wife. This is absolutely ridiculous. Alito & made our an abomination. They take straight up bribes from people who they are hearing cases from, go on lavish trips w them and have absolutely no whatsoever. Supreme Court needs term limits. https://www.dworkinsubstack.com/p/alito-and-thomas-made-supreme-court

Patriarchal power is fueled by internalized perceived superiority, and is bolstered and protected by institutional structures. Patriarchy not only throws people under the bus, but also blames those same folks for getting run over. #Alito #ClarenceThomas #SCOTUS

Faced w barrage of ethics scandals that have tarred as riddled w , Justice has sought to cast them as merely an outgrowth of politics in Washington, D.C. “It’s a hideous place,” Thomas said recently of the nation’s capital, in some of his most extensive remarks about his ethical lapses, noting that he’s been subject to “nastiness” and “lies.” Thomas added, “It’s one of the reasons we like R.V.ing.” https://newrepublic.com/article/181627/clarence-thomas-rv-loan-democrats-letter

As Chris Geidner notes, Justice Clarence Thomas is mouthing off about what a "hideous place" Washington is. But for 33 years Thomas has willingly sat on the Supreme bench, exercising enormous influence from that place he claims to see as hideous. And:

"Over the next seven weeks, Thomas will be one of nine people releasing decisions in 40 cases at the Supreme Court that will set forth the standard" (cont. in /2)

Any1 who lives in DC & says they hate it here have almost always, w rare exceptions never made actual Washington their home. They have limited themselves 2 halls of power, spent their yrs focused on obtaining power & only view their experience here through prism of power. #ClarenceThomas’s latest attack on DC "I think what you are going to find and especially in Washington, people pride themselves on being awful. Legal Question: "Can Donald Trump commit crimes with impunity?"

Clarence Thomas: "Oh, wow! Great question! I think The Founders (TM) specifically wrote a rider into the Constitution for just this sort of thing!"

This case shouldn't have standing in any court, anywhere, ever. It's not a legal proceeding.
