As our activist SCOTUS decided to help the forced birth plaintiffs this past week in suggesting the Comstock Act to prevent mifepristone being mailed, it's time to call your Representative and have them work with Representative Cori Bush in backing her bill to repeal Comstock.
I've reached out to her office and her legislative team is going to notify me when they have more information on the bill. I will post details when I get them.

When Rep #MarjorieTaylorGreene (R-GA) stood on the #House floor this month to announce her proposal to censure the only #Somali-born member of #Congress, she said she was seeking punishment for “Representative #IlhanOmar of Somalia — I mean Minnesota.”
Earlier that same wk, Rep #TroyNehls (R-TX) called the #Black husband of another woman of color, Rep #CoriBush (D-MO) a “thug.” He then said Ms. Bush, who is also Black, had received so many death threats because she was “so loud all the time.”
The #DOJ is investigating whether Rep #CoriBush (D-MO) misused campaign funds for her own personal #security, the progressive lawmaker confirmed in a statement Tues.
“As a rank-and-file member of #Congress I am not entitled to personal protection by the #House, & instead have used campaign funds as permissible to retain security services. I have not used any federal tax dollars for personal security services.”
Rep #CoriBush denied any wrongdoing & said she is “fully cooperating” w/ federal prosecutors.
Her stmnt came a day after #DOJ subpoenaed the office of the #House Sergeant of Arms for related docs. Justice declined to comment.
Since being elected to the House in 2021, Bush, a Black woman w/ activist roots, has been the target of #RightWing attacks. As a result, she has spent a substantial amount of money on private #security while she’s on Capitol Hill & back home in her district in St. Louis.
The issue of how Rep #CoriBush has been funding her #security is also under investigation by the #FEC & the #House Cmte on #Ethics. She came under controversy for paying her now-husband Cortney Merritts at least $60k w/ campaign funds in 2022, which triggered an ethics complaint from #conservative groups. The Office of Congressional Ethics UNANIMOUSLY determined in Oct to CLEAR Bush of any wrongdoing.
“I look forward to this same outcome from all pending investigations,” Bush said Tues.
“First & foremost, I hold myself, my campaign, & my position to the highest levels of integrity,” Rep #CoriBush said in the statement. “I also believe in transparency which is why I can confirm that the Department of Justice is reviewing my campaign’s spending on security services. We are fully cooperating in this investigation, & I would like to take this opportunity to outline the facts & the truth.”
Not to mention, Rep #CoriBush as well as the other members of #TheSquad conduct themselves far more professionally & respectfully than jerks like #TroyNehls, they have to, they live in a world w/o #WhiteMalePrivilege.

DOJ Investigating Democrat Cori Bush
A day after the Department of Justice served a subpoena to the House of Representatives, Punchbowl News is reporting that Cori Bush (D- Missouri) is under criminal investigation over misuse of federal security funds.
Pressure has been mounting for Khanna to support a ceasefire. Two weeks ago, Khanna’s #political director resigned over his refusal to sign the Ceasefire Resolution after #protestors convened at his D.C. office with the same demand.
Bush was joined by members of About Face, an organization representing #veterans who are against war, as well as Reps. Summer Lee (D-Pa.) and Delia Ramirez (D-Ill.).
