Apple Music allows one to disable animated album artwork on iOS and iPadOS... but not on macOS. Why?

What's wild is that the animations will stop if the Mac enters Low Power Mode or if one turns on the “Reduce Motion” option from the Accessibility settings.

Which means that the only reason one can’t disable it in the macOS app is that Apple simply forgot or neglected to add the option to the menu.

This reeks of bad product management.

This is a sneak peek of @sharepal running on iPadOS.

It's the first time I get to play around with iPadOS sidebars, and while it's fun, it brings the "I've no idea what I'm doing" feeling.

Dear ,

Why can’t I put shit where I want it to be on my iOS home screen?

Why does it have to “flow?”

There are five icons I want at my right thumb. I shouldn’t have to fight a slide puzzle to place them there. It’s like Windows’ Arrange Icons that people were so relived to find they could turn off.

So lets you do a side-by-side Split View for two apps, and I love it… in landscape mode. But for some reason it also does a side-by-side Split View in portrait mode, and all I can think of is “why?”

The two apps are so narrow in that configuration they’re practically useless. A top/bottom Split View would be way better .

Hi @Migueldeicaza, the last update is better. Preserves the color scheme, keeps the tunnel open. Great, thanks!

But while keeping the tunnel open, it’s still say the connection has been lost.

It’s correct I guess. Except, you restore it as soon as it’s lost. Right?

@Migueldeicaza a small annoying change, it takes the locale. I would prefer to be able to choose the language, but it’s not critical.

I tend to upload a video every day. It looks easy, but I’ve made a mess by cutting the videos into thousands of 2-3 seconds clips. It takes a lot of space and my Photo library in iCloud is around 1TB of data…🤣

I’m now trying to clean it up, but the only way seems to be create a shortcut…🤡

71 More Special Characters Are Hiding Within Your Keyboard on iOS 17 and iPadOS 17

'The keyboard on your iPhone or iPad has a few new tricks up its sleeve with Apple's latest software updates, such as improved autocorrect and emoji stickers. However, a particularly hidden feature that lets you change the sound values of letters in other languages has gone unnoticed — until now'

I use some of these for Spanish, but there are dozens more.

I’ve been running the iOS and iPadOS 17 developer betas all summer, and just got prompted for the first time to enable Adaptive audio (which decides dynamically how much environmental audio to pass through, and lowers media volume when you speak).
