Today, the three of us are processing some news from my new doctor. I have had a battery of tests, and the results are rolling in.
It seems my thyroid isn't working anymore. I have mostly ignored my health while my husband has gone through cancer treatments.
All of these results are taking me by surprise, but I started a new med and am adjusting my diet and exercise.
Keeping me healthy has bumped up on our priority list.
Summer says she will be my personal trainer.
It will all work out.

  1. My low FODMAP diet is a bit of a struggle but I already notice the difference after just a few days

The more I learn about the Catholic church, the worse it gets. They actually had/have the nerve to put themselves forward as moral arbiters. The damage they've done to so many people. How dare they!?
Most recently this dangerous nonsense about Ukraine.
And I discovered this while reading Banville's April in Spain

As if priests were capable of helping people with mental health problems.

@bookstodon I've burned through all of the Brother Cadfael books in the past couple of months, and I have a question: I've Googled this a bunch, but I still can't find anybody online who is connecting the dots to prove that Cadfael himself was the reason that there were so many murders in a relatively few years, in this tiny 12th century English town.

That kind of analysis HAS to be a thing, doesn't it?
