“If the voters put [Trump] back in power after the Jan. 6 insurrection, we are unlikely to keep the republic. If voters cannot be bothered to show up and choose the only candidate
who has pledged to abide by the Constitution from day one (and never to "suspend" it), then our democracy is doomed. But we can get it right this time, as we did in 2020.”
— Jennifer Rubin, The Washington Post
14 people charged in #Ohio drug ring for allegedly selling "faces," which are pages soaked in drugs, inside prisons.
Investigators caught the inmates and their family members by discovering an elaborate plot to publish and sell an actual novel-style book with its pages soaked with drugs
I don't think I ever saw those little half-millimeter black-legged nymph #ticks until a year or two ago. I've had two on me already this year. My neighbor had #Lyme last year and I don't like this at all.
Am I just noticing them for the first time? Or is their range newly expanding into #Ohio?
#Ohio Sect of St just sent a letter to the Chair of the OH Dem Party that he will exclude #Biden from the OH ballot since the DNC convention is after their arbitrary deadline. OH extended the deadline for Repubs in 2012 & 2020, but refuses to do it now. Story.
"A judge in Ohio could rule as soon as Monday in a case that could overthrow the state’s 2019 abortion ban...A ballot measure approved by voters last year already rendered much of that law moot, but parts remain in place including reporting requirements and a 24-hour waiting period, which can add stress and an increased financial burden for those in need of abortion care."

This is an interesting account of how a large #SolarFarm was approved, against the odds, in #Ohio.
There are a lot of spurious myths surrounding the proposed solar farms, but a large part of the opposition stems from real concern over the loss of farmland. It seems to me that advocates for agrivoltaics have their jobs cut out for them in farming communities.
