This is probably too hacky but can't help trying it out. Phanpy's shortcuts settings are saved as (private) notes on my own profile, which will allow export/import in the "cloud".
It's possible to use the API to add notes for other profiles, and they're hidden from (self, currently-logged-in) own profile. I'm using it to store data 🤪
NOT available on the dev site yet, still on my local machine.
@ArtBear I think #phanpy has quotes. I also like that it marks with a green shade posts from groups and that the translation tool also works for the alt-text
@Kujafilth Après, sur un client web comme #phanpy le thread est bien affiché et ça évite cet effet "post après post". Tout est dans une même continuité. C'est dommage car je vais perdre ça du coup
@cheeaun did you break anything in #phanpy? a few days ago, the page started being bigger than the viewport, so i had to scroll a bit to get to the write icon. now a toot's RMB does not appear, the notification pane doesn't either, and the toot's context pane looks like this:
You must be viewing the page as an unauthenticated user
You must be viewing the page on a larger screen or in landscape view.
Even then, if you don’t have your browser window stretched out past 1180px width - it is hidden.
Even if you get this far, if you have the advanced web interface enabled, it doesn’t show.
Unless you use #IceCubesApp or #Phanpy where they just show up between your profile data and the list of your posts. On any server even if you're logged into it!
Clicking one filters the list of posts to just the ones with that tab.
phanpy.social is cool, very well-designed, but after trying it for a couple days I still think I prefer Elk. Phanpy is just too slow. Every action has several seconds of lag, especially after scrolling for a while. And this makes it completely unusable on mobile.
I wonder if this is related to their tech stacks. Phanpy uses Preact, Elk uses Vue. React sites always feel slow. I'm not very familiar with Vue, but this is a point in favor of it. Elk always feels snappy.
@phanpy thank you for making such an excellent way to use Mastodon! Is there a way to set a language filter? I follow a few hockey related tags and my timeline has been filling with posts in Swedish. Sadly my ancestors intentionally made their descendants ignorant of their mother tongue so I don't know it. @FediTips@feditips#phanpy#mastodon#feditips

Phanpy.social every so often shows a collection of #boosts in your timeline but in a superbly intuitive way.
Instead of having to scroll through these boosts vertically and miss out on other stuff, it appears as one post in the timeline which you then scroll through horizontally. Genius!
Is there a Firefox plugin that redirects Mastodon links from other instances to your own instance automatically, so that you can boost and reply without entering your domain?
#phanpy When I clicked on a post using phanpy, I used to be able to click on replies and like, boost, or reply to them. Now if I want to do that I have to switch to the standard Mastodon desktop app. Is something broken?
@jredlund hi #Phanpy here. You can perform those actions by clicking on the timestamp or right-click (or long-press on touch devices) that'll show a menu containing those actions.
