Hey @protonmail , loved the most recent Community Update. The point about Google tracking by being logged into Gmail is enough to get me to look again at automatic forwarding from Gmail.

However, those emails end up right in my primary proton inbox. I'd much rather they end up in a dedicated email alias, so they are separated out in Thunderbird automatically.

Is there any way to configure forwarding from Gmail to go to a particular inbox, or even a particular folder?

@GrapheneOS

Hi, I am currently using the latest Version of Graphenos which is available on the 4. October 2023 on a google Pixel 6a.
I am Using the ProtonVPN Free subscription. I installed the VPN Client using f-droid. It's also up to date.

I recognized that even tough I have in the Graphenos VPN Settings always on and always activated on which blocks any Internet connection without the VPN.
I tried out all VPN Protocols but always after a few seconds or a minute the VPN Connection wasn't connected anymore. But at the same time in the Settings in Graphenos it tells me that the VPN is connected, which is not true.
Now the "Block Every Internet Connection without VPN" feature doesn't works anymore and I can connect to the Internet without the VPN.
I tested it on 2 different Wifis.

is $3 rn, and if you don't already own it then you should do yourself a favor and like... own it. It's a great game, if you like crime dramas, games that are like GTA but better (imo), and games that are fun.

It's supported by and works on / via .

Got an email today informing me that @protonprivacy is offering me their new program as a subscriber when it's normally only available to their more expensive subscription plans...

These guys couldn't be any cooler! Thanks, !

I'll be interviewing Andy Yen, the CEO of in early December, and I'd like to ask them the questions YOU have about Proton Mail, Drive, Calendar or VPN, or security and privacy in general. So I made a tiny little form where you can enter your questions, and I'll ask them during the interview, which you'll be able to watch on the Youtube and Peertube channel, of course.

We'll do our best to address as many questions as possible in the time we have!

Look what just landed in my inbox! This just made my day.

My Proton Partner application has been approved and I’m excited to be a new . Looking forward to getting all situated into the environment.

Now all I need to do is convince my wife to allow me to purchase @protonmail unlimited. Then I can move everything over.

I took the annual @protonprivacy annual survey today and they got generally glowing reviews from me. I have no hesitation about my upcoming annual renewal. That said, I am a bit concerned by the couple of questions regarding AI "features". I don't need a writing assistant, I really do not. I want to be able to access my Proton Drive on Linux and full Standard Notes integration.

I've moved from the free tier and started paying for the premium tier with and their VPN/Mail/Calendar/cloud storage/password manager services. It's worth every (reasonably priced) cent to know my online presence isn't being dissected and sold off.

@simplelogin hi, me again with questions about the Safari extension. Why is your extension not available in the UK App Store? and can I just download it from what ever source so I can finally use SimpleLogin in Safari without the very crappy port of the iPad app to macOS, please.

I just discovered that Proton now offers a desktop app for Mac :apple_old_logo: (yes!) and Windows. However, in beta version and only for paying subscribers to one their plans.

But it does not change the fact that I now have a really nice and well-functioning mail and calendar app in combination with each other.
Thank you @protonmail for that opportunity 😊

Proton takes a moment to address some concerns, point-by-point, of people comparing it to Tutanota.
This article focuses largely on the encryption, and some misinformation about Protons practices.

Can I block the operation of an browser extension by using a custom filter on on my router? Or perhaps using a @protonmail VPN config on my router?

I really don’t like my big bad business daddy digging into my personal health , communications, etc., & I don’t have admin rights on my PC to disable/remove it.

After having tried and putting it through its paces, I'm making the jump to it from Bitwarden.

Bitwarden is a solid password manager that I will continue to recommend as an alternative; however, ProtonPass continues to get better and even its free version checks all of my required boxes.

So my plan with my current #VPN provider expires soon and I’m thinking of moving to #Proton. I like the idea of getting, as part of the plan, extras such as Proton mail - get some control and #privacy over my email accounts (away from Gmail). However, I am a little worried that if I create multiple email addresses I essentially lock myself into Proton’s paid plan… Losing email addresses would be an unnecessary nightmare to manage 🤔
Has anyone else switched to Proton to manage their VPN & emails?

i'm astounded by how far on has come since the last time i seriously used linux, which was probably ... 2010?

not only are older games and several newer games now natively packaged for linux, play + works for so much that dual-booting is so far from my mind.

i could see still being necessary for brand-new 'triple-a' stuff, unfortunately; but let's hope that's not the case for much longer.
