Wait: slow running is a thing? Over the last couple of years, my #MultipleSclerosis has seen my running go from a sub 4-hour marathon to a very painful trudge as my leg muscles just don’t really work properly any more. I’ve learned to not mourn what I have lost and to seek the joy in what I can do. I’m still out there and I try and enjoy that simple fact, even when it’s a bit of a sorry plod. I’m not sure I’d call it ‘sexy pace’, mind. #running#runner
Some footage from First Plague, our runner made in a game jam in 2020, mixing 2D objects in a 3D world, which will be part of the collection we'll release soon.
As an Egyptian in his boat on the Nile, try to escape the River of Blood while saving the unlucky Nile inhabitants on the shores!
ok so. dogs that are fully not under control by their owners are number one on my list of Things I Haaaate When Out #Running.
obv if I am not running through an off-leash park, I should expect to see all dogs be leashed. that's apparently a crazy expectation, for one!!?? I am especially fond of situations where it's a) more than one dog and b) you can't even see the owner because they're so far away. leash. your. dogs.
so anyway... yesterday I went for a run through a park. I see a group of three is blocking most of the path ahead, so I give them a berth and run around them. suddenly a small dog SHOOTS OUT from the centre of the group, coming straight for me. he's on one of those unspooling, retractable type leashes, and nobody is paying attention or pressing that button to hold him back. so he's coming straight for me, growling and barking and just... being extremely aggressive. I jerked my foot away at the right second when he reached me, not sure what would have happened if I hadn't.
so then you'd think the owners would at least apologize - NOPE!! they laugh!! because how precious, our little angel 🤗🤗 so cute, how angry he gets and how he just tried to take out that runner 🤗 💜
Parallel Overhead is a colorful endless runner game where you take control of the ships Truth and Beauty on a groundbreaking trip through hyperspace. A stable hyperspace tunnel has finally been achieved with the two ships supporting it on opposite walls of the tunnel. Well, almost stable… Keep the ships from falling through...
This is a route I’ve been meaning to run for some time now. It’s largely “out and back” which I’m not really a fan of, but having driven out to the convent (La Gañanía en La Almoraima) for lunch yesterday, I was struck by how pretty it was.
Among the games in the Collection: Cara Cara, a tricky arcade game inspired by Kuru Kuru Kururin, where it will take you some tries to survive long in its levels!
Ran a mile early this morning (first since half marathon) in my new disco light visibility vest. Signed up for a Thanksgiving 5K to stay motivated. Also, please enjoy a baby painted turtle demonstrating their innate appreciation of leg day.
This baby is one of two who hatched from a clutch of eggs removed from a mom who didn't survive being hit by a car on her way to nest. They will be released in the spring.
Thanks to the efforts, advice and patience of many good friends and coaches I’m no longer a frankly bad runner. But my running form is still terrible, my nutrition plagued by bad habits, and my training discipline a mess that jumps all over the place.
