So AMPTP companies are all now permanently shutting down right? I mean the CEOs, Zaslav, Donna, Ted & Bob said it was their “last, best & final offer,” so I guess there’s gonna be no film & TV business, right? Or are these four CEO chuckleheads lying sacks of waste & they must now confess that SAG-AFTRA in fact decides what is last, final & best?
The shareholders ought to throw the CEOs out head first, every one of them.
To pull a Zaslav: to show up day after day and make things worse.
Context: “The language currently in the AMPTP’s offer would see the studios and streamers secure the right to use scans of deceased performers without the consent of their estate or SAG-AFTRA.”
Nov 6 #WritersCoffeeClub—Would you consider an audiobook of your novel or short story?
Absolutely. As an Actor (mostly ex) I know several fantastic voice over artists whom I would employ by paying them actual money, rather than using the horrific proposal by Kindle to have an audiobook generated by AI, which will gut the voice over industry for the sake of corporate greed.
Not only did the CEO Gang of Four (Donna Langley, Ted Sarandos, David Zaslav and Bob Iger) trigger the longest actors strike in film history, they further embarrass themselves with more obvious lies. #ActorsStrike#SAGAFTRAstrike#SAGAFTRAstrong#UnionStrong#union#u1
The CEOs need a deal, and no matter the legal meaning of the phrase, they're going to have to make another offer if this one doesn't satisfy. One day longer, one day stronger. ✊
Remember that time the CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery was focusing on pulling an unflattering but factually accurate article about them instead of avoiding the longest actor strike in film history? Good times.
To pull a Zaslav: to keep showing up day after day and make things worse again and again.
