Often referenced "masks do harm" study retracted.

See: https://frontiersin.org/articles/10.3389/fpubh.2023.1221666/full

Editors: "...complaints were valid ... the article does not meet the standards of editorial & scientific soundness..."

Will likely live on as a zombie & the retraction will become part of a conspiracy narrative.

My brother shares my full genome.
He takes a trip and comes back home
Still young, though I am old and gray.
“Well, that makes sense,” I start to say,
“Due to the constant speed of light
Your clock moved slower in my sight.”
“How strange,” he says, “for I saw you,
And from my viewpoint, yours did too.”

It occurred to me, while inventing new ideas, that we are taught new ideas jump forth from great minds, fully formed and wholly original.

But oh no, not so.

New ideas come in two flavors:

  1. The combination of two previous ideas.

  2. Someone else's idea, but slightly improved.

Misinformation + ideology = tough combo!

"...sharing decisions were largely unaffected by actual information veracity."

"Study Offers New Twist in How the First Humans Evolved

Scientists have revealed a surprisingly complex origin of our species, rejecting the long-held argument that modern humans arose from one place in Africa during one period in time.

By analyzing the genomes of 290 living people, researchers concluded that modern humans descended from at least two populations that coexisted in Africa for a million years before merging in several independent events across the continent. The findings were published on Wednesday in Nature."
