Sault - Up All Night

Sault is the coolest thing in recent music. They're a UK art-soul collective that flies heavily under the radar in terms of promo and social media. They're not all women, but women are heavily featured. If you want to know who's in the group you can look it up, it's out there. Their albums are wildly diverse, not all are in my fav style (some are kinda froofy choral stuff) but the stuff I like I absolutely love

Soul won two Academy Awards in 2021. It was nominated for sound as well but didn’t win. As a said in my mini review, the sound is superb.

Soul is wonderful on the big screen. I’ve seen it before via Disney+ when it got a pandemic streaming release.

But the sound in the cinema coming from all directions is superb. I loved it. I rated it 8 after home viewing in 2022. I’m upping that to 9/10 after seeing it in the cinema. You should go while you have the chance. It’s on Disney+ if you can’t.

I’d forgotten Graham Norton voices one of the main characters (third billing). He’s fantastic for the character in question.

Souls are indivisible, and only death separates soul from body, right?

So if an acquires a at the instant of conception, what about identical twins, formed when an embryo splits in two? Do they share a soul, or is one of them a soulless monster? OTOH, what about chimeras, formed when two embryos fuse, so that the resulting baby is a patchwork of cells from both? Two souls in one individual? Or what happens to the other soul?

And then there are siamese twins...

Radio Irrtum! announcement

(again… as every month!)

↓↓↓ German version far below the English one ↓↓↓

RADIO IRRTUM! is back ! \o/ Saturday, 2024-02-17 at 8:00PM (UTC+1) at Alex Berlin/FM 91 MHz/DAB+ Ch.7D, or via stream: https://www.alex-berlin.de/radio/15-live-auf-91.0

Irrtum! is a German language exploring the sonic vastnesses of the . Emitted transmissions will raise your attention for new unheard all over the genre spectrum from all over the world. Btw.: Forget about that German language aspect - it's all about the music!

And this time the topic of the whole is "hitter of crinders" (should be a fair translation of "Blocküren von Tieren") which by the way has absolutely nothing to do with anything that will happen during the show and indeed makes no sense at all. Just as I like things to be.

As there will be:

Because always feels connected to open social networks, lots of mighty' n world dominating Fediverse artists will be featured, like @xylander, @limebar, @Lara or @rrrrroseazerty ! Because of your great music!
Also then and when. Because if you ask me, the music industry as we know it has to die.
As always I'll post playlist and manuscript later here (provided I’m at home, else it will come up the day after). And if you have questions about the music – I'll gladly answer! Just ask!

C U all tonight! :)

↑↑↑ English version above, the German one is still below ↓↓↓
