I've downloaded my data (posts, follows, likes, etc.) as an offline zip file, as preparation for cutting my last ties to the platform.

Note that Twitter itself still offers this option. Go to Settings \ Your account \ Download an archive of your data.

Does anyone know a way to do this and put the data back online somewhere, outside Twitter, without hosting one's own server?

Update. Yesterday I bulk-uploaded all my to the @internetarchive @waybackmachine. There were 10,407, from Aug 2009 to the present.

I used the instructions on this page. (Thanks to @adam_krassowski for the pointer.)

This is very satisfying, no matter what happens to / #X. It may crash and burn. If it starts charging subscriptions, I won't pay and my account may disappear. Either way, I have this kind or level of protection.

🤔💧📚 https://blumeundince.podigee.io/3-wasserkrisehafermilch

Now that it is X, are they still called Tweets?

What are they now called?

Xeets? Xosts? XP?

XCommunication?

Just asking...

My feelings on X (Twitter), remastered:

@mike
I just spent a few minutes on that foul site looking for some news, but it seems like everyone is just complaining about the platform that they're posting on.

No fucking self-reflection it seems to me for people to be still providing content that propping up the platform they seem to love to hate.

Anyways, what are we going to call the posts we used to call now? I'm leaning towards calling them Xits as in "I just popped a Xit out about Trump".

I know what a bird does. It . What does an #X do? No fuckin' idea.
