Wow! I didn't realize, here in the States at least, that the Big Easy and the electric are both the same price, around $5,500.

That makes it exceedingly difficult to choose between the two and I could easily see myself using either one in different situations.

Hmmmm...

Does anyone have any advice or experience with either to persuade me in direction or another?

There's never enough on your . Or on your trailer.

Introducing remote controlled bike trailer indicator lights XD

Like every joke taken too far, it took 4 days of work and 2 burned fingers, but totally worth it.

If you want one on your trailer, or your or your ox cart, just talk to me.

A metal frame of a 1.5m long bike trailer in a dark room. First, both red lights go off. Then only left indicator, then red light too. Camera moves to the right indicator, and then progresses to the light installed near the front.

How do people work on their tricycle ? I’ve been propping up the rear of the frame to work on the chain but then I have to lay it on its sides to work on the front wheels/brakes. It works but I feel like there has to be a better way.

The days are getting darker, so time to make the bucket bike more visible.
As of we weren't conspicuous enough on the school run... am I in danger of becoming one of the Notable People?

geodarcy,

@paezha @mobileharv It's unfortunate that's only possible in death machines like scooters and my 45kg . I'd get my errands done so fast if I was limited to the same momentum as a 10k kg Hummer.

The worst part for me is that I think AVs are vaporware but I have to endure the risks if some "go fast and break things" techbro wants a few thousand kg of steel speeding around my city doing an alpha test of the software.

geodarcy,

@livewirecalgary City council must have watched my video and saw what a barrier they are to riders. Well, and anyone riding a bike, pulling a bike trailer, or using a mobility device. If they’re actually for transportation safety, maze gates should be installed on most roads to slow SUVs.

Any friends know the state of 106St, south of 63Ave? The bookcase I want is in at IKEA. Being bike infrastructure, I assume it won’t be done until at least mid-Oct. The 8 blocks by MacEwan still aren’t finished and have been closed since 24Apr.

Here's the strangest thing I've seen in lanes so far this year. When I passed this guy and heard the gas engine, I thought someone had made a bakfiets moped, with internal combustion pedal assist.

But the GoPro frames appear to show that the front half of the mystery vehicle is indeed from a style cargo bike, and the rear half is from a mini-motorcycle.

Oh, and there's a family of 4 on board.

I’m picking up my eldest from sports camp this week so I’m asking, what is a big week for a ? I’m doing all the errands I usually do by and some that I could do, if I weren’t kind of lazy and had access to a vehicle. Day One was 32 km. Expect the video next week.

After my last 2 videos, I've seen an increase in comments (especially on reddit 🙄) that my "tone" is driving people away, and that I'd be much more successful if I was nicer.

Coincidentally, I've also seen a huge bump in Patreon supporters this month.

I've had an increase in the absolute number of Patreon supporters, but I've also had many people increase their contribution amount, even though I provide no benefits to anyone who does that. 🤔

geodarcy,

@notjustbikes Someone said I almost sound like I'm doing ASMR. Is that what Urbanist YouTube really needs? A guy doing ASMR Costco runs?
