A tranquil early morning in Wood Islands, Prince Edward Island.
A small farming and fishing community, Wood Islands is the southern-most point of Canada's smallest province. It is the island port for the ferry service linking Prince Edward Island and Nova Scotia.

The lighthouse glimpsed in the distance is the Wood Islands Lighthouse, built in 1876. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/wood-island-prince-edward-island-karen-cook.html?newartwork=true

Happy 85th birthday! Her final resting place is the dock of the Fisheries Museum of the Atlantic in Lunenburg as a living exhibit, but at one time, the Theresa E. Connor was the last of her kind....a saltbank schooner that was built in 1938 and sailed the waters as a fishing vessel for many years.
