@64bithero Jumping in as in buying the game? Just wait for a FreeFly-event and see how it works on your PC 😃 On pretty much all PCs it runs really bad though 🙃
There is some really cool core tech that is not properly implemented yet that will bring up performance by quite a margin.
@bloodaxe I’ve played a few fly free events. And I know my machine has a hard time haha. I enjoy it every time I go out even if it’s always from scratch and I never get very far. Hopefully the new features improve the experience
Is every #academic research assistant/associate position in the Humanities for graduate students only?! I gotta start looking elsewhere.... wherever that is...
@mrcompletely@Stoneycase Thank you. I was curious so I looked on Relisten and found out that there are over 200 Meat Puppets shows and 50 Minutemen shows on there. But no MMW. I need to scour that app more often.
@caravan@Stoneycase meat puppets shows have circulated for a long time but they used to be scattered over a bunch of blogs and impossible to keep up with. They really have some wild ass setlists
You can get to a hidden Jerry band archive stash via gdsets.com
Although I enjoy the transience of just spewing out my thoughts about books in fediverse posts I am a bit concerned that in years to come I may lose track of which books I've read. I've also had problems lately retrieving the names of short story authors whose work I particularly liked, so I'm now thinking about having a blog.
Can any of you fine people recommend a free blog hosting site that is at least tolerable? In the absence of screams to the contrary I will probably go with Blogger, and if I don't like that I may just go back to Dreamwidth. The problem with Dreamwidth is that it doesnt allow you to connect with other blog owners, as far as I'm aware. But would anyone connect with me anyway? That is the question.
Coincé en atelier visio; on regarde des modèles de documents pour des normes ISO 😢
La blague c'est que mon périmètre n'est pas concerné par cet atelier mais j'ai été sacrifié
I have a collection of blog posts as markdown, which get rendered to html using eleventy.
Now, when I link from one post to another, I want to intercept this at build time, and transform the link to a mini-preview of the target post.
Is there something I can use in my .eleventy.js config file to access the target post's HTML content, in order to extract a title, some text, and an image or something?
I have a dumb #cooking question that I CANNOT find an answer to online. Does anyone know if "light" and "low-fat" #buttermilk are the same thing? #halp
@APBBlue It's a good question. Both terms are probably just advertising hype. You have to read the nutrition label to see how they compare to 'normal' buttermilk.
Is there any reason not to look at the Creality Sermoon V1 Pro 3D Printer? I have a CR20 Pro and it's driving me insane - I can't get the bed leveland I can't get the z height sorted out. I just want to use it as a tool, I don't want to have to spend half my life tuning and fiddling with the thing. If not the Sermoon, anything similar? Bamboo labs P1S is too spendy. Creality have a deal on ATM just over £200 for the Sermoon
@ScaredyCat It is much much easier than it seems, I had the same hesitation when deciding to build a voron but after research I think it's a pretty trivial thing and at least this way you know you are not getting sub standard lube which will degrade the machine about a week after warranty ends.
@sp4rkr4t Thanks for your replies. In the end I just had too many things that concerned me about the Sovol SV60 that I couldn't commit to it. I did, however, buy an Elegoo Neptune 4 and it's just stunning compared to my CR20-PRO - just gobsmackingly perfect prints every single time. No fussing, straight out of the box it just worked - and that's what I want a tool I can just use to print suff I need to make. Very happy. Thanks very much for making me look at the Sovol.
