WWWOOOOWWW! Wohoo! Just discovered that control+Option right or left arrow will scroll my Mastodon advanced UI right or left on the iPad I am airplaying to a monitor and keyboard. Game changer!
Después de defender el iPad ahora vengo desde mi Android a comentar lo suave que es bajar música desde los 7 mares sin encender la compu. P.D. bajar torrent desde iOS legalmente no se puede o no he podido. Soy super bipolar. #android#ipad
Managed to try the Quirkey #accessibility keyboard out on an #iPad with a USB adaptor, and it seems to work. Certainly well enough for a deeper dive...
I tried #RetroArch on the #ipad. The experience is not bad, especially using a Bluetooth controller. But still prefer how this works on #Android; much easier to deal with ROM files, and the screen on my Samsung (OLED) looks better.
Setting aside the fact our tech has been getting smaller and thinner for decades so I don’t really understand this question, I think the larger benefit is weight.
As someone who has been using a 13” iPad Pro for ~ 80% of my daily work and play for years, every fraction of an ounce they can shed is welcome, especially since this device is designed to be held; it doesn’t just sit on a surface like a laptop.
a new article on 9to5Mac comparing the iPad Pro with the upcoming Surface Pro. unfortunately it also conveniently ignores the fact that one is effectively running a super limited phone OS while the other a fully flexible desktop OS.
I hope that this will finally force Apple to allow iPad Pros to run macOS (even virtualized) as all that awesome power is just getting wasted.
New sketch! It's the classic Apple ]+, the first computer my family ever had... 40+ years ago I got my start with programming and computer graphics on one of these.
One day with the M4 iPad Pro. Great upgrade all around, lighter weight is subtle but noticeable from previous M1. But
The new Magic Keyboard feels really good. Great build quality, typing feels quite nice, the new function row was long overdue, and the trackpad is nifty. It too feels lighter, so the overall package feels great. #Apple#iPad#iPadPro
The lip of the old “plastic” Magic Keyboard protrudes more than the new one, making it easier to open the iPad/Keyboard combo. It’s almost flush with the iPad in the new one.
Honestly had a really weird introduction to my new iPad Pro. After the hour long data transfer was complete I tried using it but it was like walking through quicksand. Games were practically unplayable and video looked terrible.
I figured it was because it was still downloading and installing a ton of apps but even after that appeared done it was still doing it.
After a power cycle it’s running like a champ now. This screen is so gorgeous.
The iPadPro can’t get much thinner without the USBC opening getting thinner. That should happen when the iPad gets wireless charging. It doesnt. I checked for a hidden coil ;)
