@pafurijaz I gave the hull a little try. 🙂 For reference I used the drawn boat blueprint and your subdiv-modeled 3D boat, so it has become a bit of a blend between those references.
It's just a 20-minute eyeballed simple experiment, and the hull isn't open, because that would require more work, and will be much easier once the nested SDF primitives are added (the #MagicaCSG dev is currently working on that).
Added a few more little widgets to finish the model.
I think this time I'm going to export the model to Blender for rendering with Cycles. MagicaCSG includes a great path tracing renderer, but it lacks textures.
@daniel Thanks Daniel! And nice to see you back here. I was almost getting worried something had happened to you, or you had left Mastodon. 😅
Yeah, the fan is just a radial array. As usual, #MagicaCSG makes modeling so easy that it invites you to experiment much more than traditional 3D editors do. 💚
@daniel Yes, that's why I think #MagicaCSG is a gem in its implementations of SDF shapes (complex math), as well as its UI / UX design: straightforward modeling tools, controls clearness and ease of use.
