Oh shit, Sam Ash music stores are all closing. Literally the end of an era; they've been around for 100 years!
Most of us who've been doing this music thing for years have bought something from a Sam Ash store in person or online at some point. Pore one out, I guess...
#Billionaires want to #dismantle#socialsecurity and put all your money in their bank accounts. I think we should do the opposite and take their #trilliondollars, put it into social security, and put everyone below $250k on #disability . You don’t have to call it #ubi if you don’t want to. It’s not #socialism I promise.

And yes, I absolutely jumped on the chance to pay what I could to own his entire back catalog. Far more than I generally spend on music at once, but not near what it is worth.
if you wanted to know how #streaming services have changed the #musicbusiness then this chart will tell you what you need to know.
Streaming now accounts for nearly two-thirds of sector revenue... given the low level of payments made to #musicians from this source, what we have seen (as in other industries) is a shift in revenue from #workers (artists) to #corporations.

The best way to make money in the music business is to sell musicians the hope that someone will listen to their music. Amateur, unsigned, and naive musicians are often easy targets for spammers, faux record companies, playlisters utilizing bots (to fake streams), and marketing funnels.
