#Palworld's release was not just incredibly successful but sadly also one that sparked many a controversy. As such, I wanted to take my time to not just explain what accusations are being made but also to debunk them and to share my thoughts! Enjoy!
got my temporary #streaming PC built in the nick of time and just went #live, time for some #gaming on #palworld while talking about #linux and potentially coming over to the dark side, curious? come by and chat! 😄
I was gonna go with something clickbaity like, "can you beat the legendary Palworld level 50 raid boss with only a stick and level 1 pals?". I bet someone out there CAN, but not me.
Though I've been playing #Palworld for a while, this is the first time I've sat down to write about it. I know there are some nay-sayers, but I've found quite a bit to enjoy in this game!
Last week’s “Palworld vs Pokémon” controversy reminded me of my first steps into game dev. I wanted to make a free minigame similar to Pokémon Stadium 2's 1P Quiz. But I was afraid of copyright infringement despite my attribution, so it was scrapped. :(
This looks an awful lot like Hollow Knight, is there nothing this crowd won't rip off? Also, how about actually finishing development of a game before releasing another? You already have 3 games in early access #VideoGames
#Palworld dev's upcoming Metroidvania switches developer credit as it drops a new demo
My wife is playing #PalWorld on our living room desktop that runs #Debian#Linux, so I thought I would use SSH to check and see how hard it's actually working. It's doing pretty good at 1080p high settings, staying pretty close to 60fps, but it's pushing our old AMD RX-480 pretty hard to do it.
Full disclosure, as my shoulder is healing, one of the few things i can do is hold a controller. I can articulate my wrist and, to some extent, my elbow, as long as i don't move my arm at the shoulder.
I've taken this as the perfect excuse to jump back into video #games , at least for a few weeks.
The new Prince of Persia, the persona 3 remake, #Palworld , Armored Core 6, and, of course #BaldursGate3
#PalWorld... is surprisingly brutal 😳 The premise is Pokémon except that you have to bash the creatures with a club in order to catch them, and if you don't bash them enough, they attack, and if you bash them too much they become stunned and their prone bodies roll around the ground.
30 hours deep into Palworld, I gotta say that I really like the game, even though it has its flaws.
It's a lot of fun to collect the Pals, roam the world, search for resources and rank up your base.
What is less fun is how often times the Pals do not do their assigned tasks, properly, or they just get stuck completely because they glitched through a wall or into a closed building.
I think the glitching through walls thing and fire Pals using heaters for no reason at all annoys me the most.

Also being able to sort Pals by their abilities and types and having a filter for that would be amazing and save a lot of time.
I think there is a lot of space for improvement, even though I gotta say for a game with that price it's a very solid experience, already.
If they manage to reduce the bugs and add some of the features mentioned above, this game will go from a solid 7/10 to a 9/10 or even a 10/10 in no time.
