Hey Y'all!
I'm Cap, here to represent #ShrimpandCrits! An #ActualPlay Podcast that brings comedy, drama, homemade music and amazing southern fried characters fresh to your Podcast Plates.
Please respond by saying what sorts of TTRPG things you're pretty likely to either talk about or respond to if you see them.
This can be a list of games (D&D! Tribe 8! Fate!) or categories (the weirdest of indie stuff! NSR! Anything PBtA!), topics (Worldbuilding! Publishing!), stuff you're making, meta-commentary (The State Of The Industry), and so on.
Then maybe share, and if the replies are building up, check them for new people.
@LeviKornelsen
Neat topic! I've found a few follows here thanks!
I like to post about, read about, and discuss:
•ideological reproduction through game mechanics
•novel mechanics that emphasize pro-social behavior, decolonization, and social justice and equity
•the intersection of game design with social policy, epistemology, and anthropology in general
•dunking on D&D and Pathfinder. Sorry not sorry.

•#gurps
•#fate
•#wanderhome
•#worldbuilding
•#playerbehavior
•games as education (I’m a teacher and separately a game dev and separately a sci-fi author)
So I think I’m looking for an TTRPG system that would essentially run a soap opera. Rules light is a plus, really something from the old “one-page rpgs” would probably be perfect. I want to focus on the narrative part and have a simple resolution mechanic that’s favors social encounters because combat isn’t part of the...
Today on #GnomeStew I'm taking a look at Apocalypse Keys, published by @evilhat
This is a #PBTA game about playing monsters that could end the world, but are also working to save it, and all of the emotional damage that entails. #ttprg
Okay, new idea... Summer Movie #pbta game with social deduction elements. Play as a one-shot. Players are randomly given cards with roles on them. The roles will give them additional moves based on their trope within the movie. Roles would be revealed as the movie progresses, which will then introduce twists and turns to the story and grant new moves to that player. Cards would be things like, "Hero with a dark past", and "Surprise Villain".
Revelation, the #PbtA and #FitD#ttrpg convention at The Garrison Hotel in Sheffield on 17th & 18th February 2024!

i love nitty-gritty mechanics like in #Pathfinder2e, where you have exact movement and hit points and conditions and levels of proficiency and all that!
i love emotional stuff like what i'm reading about in #GirlByMoonlight, where "getting stabbed in the arm" and "being betrayed by a loved one" is about the same level of bad.
i love when the dice decide directly like in #MotW / #PbtA, where a 10+ is just a success and that's fact!
#pbta#jdr
