I have long evangelized #POSSE as a way to work… and it is excellent to see the idea getting promotion from people like Corey Doctorow (who has been working in a POSSE way for MANY years!)
@ewisniowski@karen#POSSE can be achieved even if it's not fully automated. Here's my own syndication strategy if you're interested in reading https://shellsharks.com/syndication-strategy. So Ghost could absolutely accommodate at least this if not something a little more automated/elegant.
I wish that it were possible to leverage WordPress’ post formats (status, aside, etc.) to trigger crossposting. In the absence of that functionality I’m working with Jan’s excellent WordPress to Mastodon plugin, making a couple of minor mods: Here’s the code I’m using: I’m going to sit with this for a while. I think the [... read more: https://www.jimwillis.org/2024/01/13/posse-wp-mastodon/]
Mekong Review needs POSSE! – at this stage, just to notify readers on all platforms when a new post is available on their website. Can experts here help to achieve this with simple steps & minimal disruption? Perhaps starting by making the RSS feed visible?
If you can, please contact the editor at https://mekongreview.com - but do also post advice here! There must be so many of us non-techie individuals & organisations in need of #SimpleSolutions…

This is fascinating to see.. I have long been intrigued by the ideas around #SOLID “pods” from Tim Berners-Lee and others working with him. The whole idea of keeping all your data in one place, and then having services pull it from your cache. Very much aligned with the #POSSE philosophy for publishing.
But there has not yet been many ways to use those pods. Could this combination with #ActivityPub help? Hmmm… glad to see people working on this!
In this blog I will explain how I'm using two Drupal contrib modules to integrate some Nostr features. 1) Setup an internet identifier for a Nostr account and 2) publish a text note to the Nostr network when you save a piece of content in the CMS.
We talk build vs buy decisions, dependency selection & how Justin has implemented POSSE (Post On Site Syndicate Elsewhere) in response to the stratification of social networks.
The interesting part to me is that I barely use #meta services personally but in terms of visibility for content creators or anyone wanting to have a voice and to be found on the internet, especially if using a #POSSE principle, these apps are where most of the people are. So I would pay for an account if I wanted to be seen everywhere even if I personally have a "just don't join" policy.
POSSE is arguably more relevant and important now than it has ever been.
I've always done it this way with my design work. If Behance, Instagram, DeviantArt suddenly disappear, my work is still on my own site ready to share to the ‘next big thing'
Inspiring mix of perspective expanding and personal talks at border:none (https://border-none.net/@border_none) the past two days. Thanks speakers, volunteers, and especially organizers @marcthiele.com (@marcthiele@marcthiele) and @jkphl.is (@jkphl@jkphl).
Looking forward to the next two days at #IndieWebCamp Nürnberg @tollwerk.de (@tollwerk@tollwerk) of personal site demos, brainstorming sessions, and making, creating, & hacking things from UX to protocols to improve & interconnect our websites, with each other ( #Webmention ), #fediverse ( #BridgyFed & #ActivityPub ), and others ( #POSSE#backfeed ).
Still a few spots if you’re in town or can hop on a train and join us Saturday & Sunday!
Puisque #POSSE est en vogue ces jours-ci grâce à l’article de @davidpierce , je vous propose de revoir la conf que j’ai donnée en français sur le sujet, il y a 4 ans durant @ParisWeb :
