Looking for someone who has experience with Advanced Custom Fields for WordPress. I have a field group I'd like to show up in a widget and I don't know what/how to cut & paste to make it happen and I can't find a good ACF widget plugin that works. Is there any one out there who can give a novice a hand? Many super thanks and much gratitude!
Eccovi una cosa #allucinante: su invito altrui e promessa che, con una #promozione, avrei ricevuto 3 euro di buono Amazon semplicemente aprendo la app ogni giorno, avevo installato #TikTok e fatto la registrazione, qualche giorno fa. Le premesse, essendo queste, erano buone, non era detto da nessuna parte che avrei dovuto effettivamente usare la #app e bruciarmi il cervello, per cui, l’ho fatto… Solo che ricevevo un errore ogni volta che provavo ad inserire il codice di #invito, e ci ho provato per svariati #giorni, finché ieri il campo per farlo è direttamente scomparso del tutto, presumibilmente perché è passato troppo tempo, e la promozione, valida solo per i nuovi utenti, mi è quindi scaduta. 1 minuto al giorno truffato (non di più, perché i video non li guardavo, lmao, poveri stronzi se pensano che butto il mio tempo così), un pochettino mi rode. 😐️
Ma avevo nel frattempo notato che, non so da quando (sto sulla versione 33.9.4, credo la penultima), hanno finalmente aggiunto un maledetto tasto per salvare in locale i #video creati dalla #fotocamera in-app, senza prima caricarli sul social, quindi ora ‘sta roba #cinese è almeno un po’ più utile. Quindi, anche se ho fatto logout, non ho disinstallato subito la #applicazione, ma ho voluto perdere un po’ di tempo a cercare se ci fosse un qualche modo per aprire direttamente la #videocamera, senza passare per la schermata principale, che richiede login con annessa accettazione dei termini legali. Ricordo che un tempo c’era una voce nel menu popup del launcher di Android per farlo, ma ora non mi appare, quindi la prima cosa che mi è venuta in mente è stata di cercare tra le activity dell’app una che facesse al caso mio… Spoiler: l’ho trovata, ma non serviva; è disponibile direttamente un #widget “TikTok #Camera”, che io non avevo visto subito, ops. Ci sono poi altri widget ed activity che, se non al feed principale, riescono quantomeno a far arrivare alla ricerca, e quindi permettono di navigare la #piattaforma in via anonima ma diretta. (Più altre interessanti, dovrei fare un post a parte?) 🪄️

Btw, is there anyone who develops widgets for iOS and who’s widget is become unresponsive from time to time? It just hangs in some state or as a white/black rectangle and the only option to fix it is to reboot the phone. Often happens when app is being updated. Anyone? #ios#swiftui#widget

working on a #widget for #iOS that constantly displays a value i retrieve from a backing store, and am wondering if it's semantically correct to not populate my Timeline? i just got started and don't fully grok #WidgetKit, but im not sure it makes sense for me to provide additional entries cause that would mean i’m extrapolating what the value would be in future times?
Just noticed another #UX enhancement to hashtag treatment in Masto 4.2…
As well as gathering trailing hashtags and showing them below any pics in a too, it also does an "and 11 more..." with them rather than present a wall of hashtags if the OP included very many.
A nice touch!
Fun seeing #Mastodon evolve some subtle UX improvements like that. Now if we could get aggregation for likes & boost notifications I'd be even happier.
@ottaross The only difference between inline & trailing hashtags as I use them is that the first can fit into the flow of the text, & the latter can't. That doesn't make them extra; that just means they couldn't fit. For example if #widget fits grammatically but I also want to make sure someone can browse #widgets, the latter might get a trailing tag.
From an accessibility perspective anything that requires extra click actions to reveal informaiton is sub-optimal.

I love being able to freely choose from a large plethora of well-written and well-designed #Mastodon clients. My current favorites are (order doesn't matter):
➡️ @mammoth: the only client allowing to view ALL posts from accounts, even from other instances. Great for discovering interesting profiles & content.
➡️ @IceCubesApp: great app and clear design language. For me the best designed app.
➡️ @ivory: robust & also well-designed. Comes with a #widget.
I'm looking for an #android#widget to replace my old "RIF is Fun" one for doomscrolling interesting topics.
#lemmy or #RSS would be awesome, #news (real, not Fox) is OK. But it wants to be full wide, one row, minimal, and ideally featuring a virtually endless pool of links that can click through to a web page or its own viewer. Preferably it's designed to respect prime handheld real estate.
#foss would be best, but I don't mind paying outright for something. Ads and subscriptions are deal breakers.

I've looked at the #code and how an 'app' is structured and it makes no sense to me...
I'm thinking I want this to replace the weather #widget in #Nextcloud so NC can be my homepage instead of this simple #PHP script I made ages ago. Thoughts?
