🤯This is a Disney movie in the making. TCU women's basketball was off to their best start in the history of the university: 14 wins, no losses. But then they had an uncanny number of season ending injuries. College teams have 5 players on the court, but 15 total players. TCU was down to only 6 healthy players! That's not enough to play safely, so they had to forfeit 2 games.

So they held open tryouts!

I recently shared a Blind post from a Google dev who was weighing staying at Google for $1M/year or OpenAI for $3M/year ($2.5M of which won’t vest for years).

It looks like Google is now giving Deepmind and Google Brain researchers millions in stock to stay.

Kinda wild that hundreds are getting laid off at Google while others are getting a few million in retention bonuses not to go to OpenAI. 😬
