My Harley-Davidson motorcycle is finally in the shop. I called the Harley dealer in Alexandria and asked if they would come and pick it up for me and they were more than happy to do so. The bike is a 2005 Dyna Super Glide Custom, I bought it brand new 18 years ago. I did some addition customization, foot pegs, wind shield, and a sissy bar. The dealer tells me that some relays need replacing, it also needs a service, and I'm seriously considering adding leather saddle bags. I know that there must be some motorcycle enthusiast out there; what do you think about adding saddle bags?

My wife is not thrilled about me riding.

@Swede1952 I've found saddle bags to be useful in very few instances. They're good for holding your tools, but a backpack is easily tied to a sissy bar, can hold more, and travel with you off the bike to wherever you're going for the day. Good saddle bags can augment the look of your bike, but unless you plan to travel a lot on your bike, bags just aren't worth the purchase price.
Hope this helps with your decision.

@deweyritten I usually forget until last minute and do the boil then 2-3 hour soak. This is why canned beans are wonderful! 😂

When writers focus on an individual's action to fight climate change, I close the article. There are not 5 easy things you can do to mitigate this crisis! Stop putting the onus on people! There are much bigger fish to fry. Ones capable of actually making changes to fix things. Harass them instead

This is an ongoing nightmare... So after everything's attached, I go to power it on. Nothing. Nada. No motherboard light, no electric whine, zip. Tested the cable, good. Multimeter says no power going to the lines from box. Seriously? A DOA desktop power supply? How common is that, because, at this point, I'm ready to say this comp is cursed? 🥴

Some 'science' photo libraries are...questionable.

This photo claims to be "Ant carrying aphid egg, SEM" colorized to highlight the "egg" but look closely! (https://www.sciencephoto.com/media/370844/view/ant-carrying-aphid-egg-sem)

It's NOT an egg. That's just part of the ant's mouth! Take a look at the second set of photos by Hugo Darras. ( https://flickr.com/photos/fourmis/5004761756 ) you can see this is part of her maxillae, the part she uses to collect liquid.

How did they decide it was an aphid egg? Most aphids don't even lay eggs they give live birth!

Three photos of an ant's head as seen from below. The photos show how the maxillae can extend, it also shows that the "egg" in the other photo was just part of the ant's mouth.
