I will be starting to create home vids for fellow , starting this month. Exercises will be as & as possible.

Several of them will be done in a chair. Some standing & others are laying down. I don't see many exercise vids made by & for folks available online. I got frustrated, trying to find exercise vids, made by fellow disabled folks.

So, I'm going to stop complaining about lack of them. I'll start to create them, myself.

Played a lot of hockey throughout my life. In general, you don't want to be chucking knuckles with someone who's wearing a bucket that's got a visor because it'll just fuck up your hand. The thing to do is actually to reach past and grab the back/bottom lip of the helmet and pull it toward you. The helmet will either pop off, or you'll be able to fold your dance partner downward so you can get in body shots with your other hand.

Oh! One addendum on the helmet thing. If their bucket does come off when you reef on it like that, the moment it slips off is actually very disorienting for them. It's a great time to unload and absolutely feed your opponent with the best you've got. If you're good at it then it's light's out, put your jammy jams on, time for bed right there and then.

Feet feet feet. Every contact sport I've played has spent more than half the time drilling footwork. Your feet provide the base for everything else you do. Not only that but once you understand your feet, you'll start to see every imperfection in your opponent's footwork as an opportunity. I could turn a ballet dancer into a linebacker way faster than I could a bodybuilder.

My football coach used to tell us all that if we wanted to go pro, the best way to improve our odds was to take ballet. There's nothing out there that will help you more, he'd say. Of course not many of us young meatheads took him up on that, more's the pity.
