@ai6yr My friend’s ex was a kindergarten/1st grade teacher. I once asked her if she ever thought about teaching higher grades. She said no because after fourth grade, they begin to smell. I can only imagine the ripeness throughout those school hallways. Gives a whole new meaning to “smells like teen spirit.“

@ai6yr Visiting the in-laws in Germany one year, my prosthetics started bothering me so my wife took me to a local doctor. I turned out to have pink eye. Mind you, I had my right eye removed at 8 and left eye eviscerated at 20. I was so pissed. How can you still get pink eye when you have no eyes. it felt so unfair. Like getting Atlee’s foot on the leg stump after having your foot chopped off. I mean, what the hell. Also, the visit plus medication cost me around €10. Talk about sticker shock in the reverse. This was before Obama care.

@ai6yr Many moons ago, a friend and I went out to Malibu to volunteer at a judo summer camp thing for blind kids. I’m not saying, but all I know is when we got off the freeway in Malibu, We right away got pulled over. Mind you, all these other cars were just blowing past us, but the Honda Civic with the black guy and Mexican dude are the ones on the side of the road getting grilled by the police asking where were we going, what we were doing, where we were coming from etc. I went into full-blown Stevie Wonder/Ray Charles mode with my cane in my lap and trying to look as harmless as possible. I feel as though that was at least worth $500 right there.

@ai6yr I know what works to stop people from ringing your doorbell to begin with. A nice big sign on your door saying “no sermons surveys or solicitations.” It’s helped to cut down the foot traffic to my front door.
