Because they're criminals. They're the types who think, "If I can get away with it, I will". Then it's a question of degrees; how much any one of them thinks they can get away with. And Trump's their god, because he thinks (and so do they) that he can get away with anything.

They're the same ones that were loading truck beds with toilet paper at the start of COVID, then tried to sell it like gold. "Fuck everyone else, I'll get mine one way or another".
