After 15 years of using an iPhone, I'm considering switching to Android. I've ordered a cheap Samsung just to try it for a while before buying a top-end model.
Let's see if I can get used to it.

(I'm also a Mac user so there will be some trade-offs..)

I really like the Busycal iOS app, does anyone know a good #Android alternative? It syncs with my calendar & tasks on Nextcloud.

The WiFi had been dodgy for a while. I checked the UniFi console and found that console recommended replacing the uplink cable for the bedroom access point. I checked the switch to see which port it was, bravely opened the network closet (en-suite closet) and found a sketch 6 inch patch cable taken off the bone pile at work long ago. Replaced dodgy cable and life is good. Alarm cleared.

I played this record in the car 🚘 and decided to hear it in the lounge. I started in Apple Spatialize Audio but it was rubbish and switched to #qobuz #lossless via #roon. The haze cleared up. Apple compresses the main channels to make all the Dolby Atmos other stuff fit in an AirPods Pro pipe. The Maggies didn’t like it. Tubby bass.

We were afraid of that. Minion is playing PDQ Bach 1712 Oveture. Like other PDQ Bach music, the score was found in a bin not far from one of New York’s lesser schools of music. As was PDQ’s tradition, liberal sampling (plagiarism) is present in the score and baroque musical idioms are abused ad nauseam!

Playing and recording are first rate. Somehow PDQ managed to attract the City’s finest starving musicians to play and to land a recording contract with drab classical label Telarc! #music

This leads to a very interesting use case for a filter, filter posts from an address passing posts having one of several tags. For example. @BakerRL75 #NWSWakefieldVA

Meanwhile Baker is sorting the NWS Wakefield VA bot as time permits.

Dismal Wizard poked around a bit at weather.gov/akq/ to find the #nwsspc NWS Storm Prediction Center product pages. Tab “Severe Weather” takes you there. Left side tabs for thunderstorms and tornadoes probability for,current day and next day.

This page can take you to product from other NWS and NOAA products like space weather (solar flare particles) etc.

Today is a good day to have the weather radio on. Ours is in the bedroom to alert us of night-time tornadoes. Although they don't sneak up on you, they can arrive rather suddenly.

Our dusty Midland Weather Radio is pictured. Left button turns on the voice message. The three blinking lights notify of a warning, watch, or advisory. The nature of the hazard appears in text at the bottom of the display.

Radio alerts only for messages tagged with our "Norfolk City" county code. #PalsPorch

How is everybody riding out the #CyberTruck pre-release hype. #Job1 (first build for an actual customer) will build real soon now and will be delivered to much pyrotechnics and champaign on 30 November in a spectacle impossible to escape. It will be interesting to hear the buzz after hunting season, spring off-roading season, and if someone is using them for actual work. Sandy Munro expects a good reception among farmers for use as equipment tenders and for light far schlepping.

@ivory has closed out its blue period to enter its entered its cyan period. All of the accent colors are now cyan including addresses and tags and the various UI icons. Fortunately, there is adequate contrast. Guys, always remember to Uncle Tim Test for readability. Any lighter would be trouble.
