I had a friend who was hot. She knew she was hot. She demanded respect.

A guy wanted to go out with her. He sent her little gifts asking her to go out. She kept refusing. The gifts grew in size and frequency until she said yes.

He got a limo. He took her to a super nice restaurant. She ordered the most expensive dish. Had one bite of each item in the plate.

She said, “We’ve gone out. Take me home.” No doggie bag.

He did.

We never saw or heard from him again.

It’s a good, by the numbers cover, but it lacks the emotion, the pathos of the original.
