Neighbour 4 parks one or two of his five vehicles (yes, five vehicles) opposite the driveways of neighbours 2, 6 & 8. Neighbour 2 takes one of his cars thinking it will hinder Neighbour 4 by parking opposite driveways of Neighbours 6 & 8(!). Neighbour 4 continues parking opposite driveway of Neighbour 2. Neighbour 2 is reportedly a shitheel, although Neighbour 4 is admittedly not far behind. Neighbour 4's wife knocks on door and speaks with Neighbour 8 to explain about Neighbour 2. Neighbour 8 takes heed and politely says that both Neighbours 2 & 4 make it difficult for Neighbour 8 to get their car out. Neighbour 2 moves car away from opposite Neighbour 8 but Neighbour 4 parks a tank sized Audi SUV opposite driveway of Neighbour 8 almost immediately. Neighbour 8 raises the issue with Neighbour 4. Neighbour 4 says if he parked opposite his own driveway he won't be able to get his cars out(!!). Neighbour 4 talks with Neighbour 3(?!?!), so Neighbour 8 is expecting some retaliation for something nothing to do with Neighbour 8. We also have a 'Julie' who has gone along taking notes of all vehicle registration numbers to see if cars have been taxed. Neighbour 12 had his car stolen from out front the other week, brought it up with others to check CCTV and Julie's there being very vocal that the car wasn't taxed instead (it was actually)....!

This fucking street!

Darlings, darlings, darlings, I know it looks rather odd, as if in some tiny way I'm being assimilated to the Borg. No matter how discreetly you think you're staring at the side of my head wondering what on earth the wee contraption is, I can see you and it makes me a little bit uncomfortable..... just ask. It's the outer gubbins of my artificial. cochlear implant.

Here's what I did on my last day as a 41-year-old

A steep rocky trail going up the side of a mountain. There's a few scattered conifers along the sides. A tiny hiker is further up the trail ahead.
An even steeper trail of mostly loose dirt. My hand clutching a rope that's been strung along the trail to prevent hikers from sliding down the steep grade.
Me, an out of shape middle aged white guy with a beard who hauled his happy ass up 2,100 feet over 2 miles to the top of this godforsaken rock. In the background is a a pretty blue lake that curves in a crescent around another mountain. It's called Lake Crescent and the mountain is Pyramid Mountain. The one I'm standing on is called Mt Storm King which is a pretty badass name. The sky is brilliant blue and busy with fluffy white clouds. In the upper right, Canada is photo bombing me in the distance.

The British music show #TopOfThePops; throughout its peak years you could wander through your towns whilst it was being broadcast and there would not be another soul out there, they were like ghost towns. The attraction of #TOTP with all generations was quite literally mind blowing and I doubt it will ever be repeated.
