@erikdelareguera De som är inte politisk intresserade kommer inte märka något alls. De som vill rösta för SD kommer inte övertygas av någon avslöjande eller av hans reaktion till det. SD kommer inte sjunka i opinionen av detta. Det enda som skulle påverka är om Tidögänget sätter tryck. Jag tror inte de kommer göra det, just för att de vet att SD skulle reagera med fortsatt våld.

When Rishi Sunak's strategy for trying to retain votes is explicitly to confirm its 'better the devil you know', you can but wonder who advised him that self-identifying as a devil was good optics.

Average White men totally overestimate the power of individuals because they're systemically privileged. Of course, they also just get murdered if they actually blow the whistle on the system in any meaningful way. Most of the rest of us have quite a different relationship to power and the system.

Genuine question: do we see any signs of ’proletarianisation’ in the campus protests.

For decades university staff have been treated worse and worse. Is there any sign that they now have less loyalty to university authorities and norms because of this?

Anyone else struggling to see any prospects for turning things around? I will keep on trying to do what I can. Of course. But 2024 is challenging.

Last year did a post about how I wasn’t motivated by hope but by . I now realise i got that wrong. Hope isn’t just fluffy “things will be alright”. Hope is some flicker of belief that you and others can change things; I did, actually, have “hope”. Less now, but will keep going.

@fifilamoura @pvonhellermannn @bencurthoys That data from the UK could be true for UK territorial emissions, but since we need to get under 2 tonnes per capita globally, and it doesn't include imports, it fits in what we know about the global picture of us headed to around 3-4c warming.
