@pixelfed@loops sorry, but you already have missing features and slow development and bugs in pixelfed and you want to start yet another platform? I know a TikTok alternative would be great, but you either start a crowd funding and try to get money so you can pay active development or you should really reconsider doing that step.

@Kuraiko@tazgetroete ich have schon mal in Leipzig bewusst geschaut, aber es hält sich in Grenzen. Die Sitzbänke an den Bushaltestellen sind etwas kürzer, aber direkt Metallwinkel oder Stacheln habe ich noch nicht gesehen.

@whitequark I could write a Demo. In Godot-XR-Toolkit there is a mechanic for "throwing spiderman web to sling around" and you can create tiny planets with gravity towards the center. So you would basically need to look into any direction, sometimes even upwards, but swing in another direction. ^
This is the perfect car for commuting in #Tulsa. Too bad it's only available in #France. Is it fast? No, but that's not the point. It's top speed is nearly double the average traffic speed in Tulsa. Can it go far? No, but it'll get you to work and back on a single charge with enough left over to stop for groceries. Is it expensive? No, it's plastic to the point where the doors are unusually symmetrical.
They can go up to 55km/h (you can't go higher than that in a city anyway) and have enough space for groceries in the back (roughly two bags and when you drive alone you can also place them on the passenger side)
They are very perfect for small Amsterdam, but I can also imagine them on normal streets. Ohh also funfact is they fit sideways in a parking space.
@StampedingLonghorn you wouldn't need to drive monthly if you can stop by a good discounter daily, because they are convieniently close by and not half an hour by motorway away.
@StampedingLonghorn I do not wonder in the slightest that in a big car dependent infrastructure with bigger and bigger parking lots they have to build good shopping possibilities further and further away so you have to get yet a bigger car to get more in. So yeah. I have 1 Supermarket and 3 Discounter in walking Distance and don't even need a car. Did you watch any of the NotJustBikes videos?
In the light of the current Matrix announcement I want to hint you to https://conduit.rs/ which is a from scratch implementation of the matrix protocol in rust for server side, which needs contributors, but already works well.
There are already cool clients out there. It is mainly the server that needs work. (feel free to post your favourite client below the post and boost for visibility)

@eniko I went into myself a few days ago, why I hate apple products so much and it is pretty much this: Each time I build a Unity App, I can compile Android through and every other platform, but for apple I only get the XCode Project and have to copy it to a mac or use the iOS Builder under Windows and each time and every year we have a dowtime for one day, because the certificates expired and it is intransparent which exactly and I just wanna scream.
