A social media friend group turned friendly gathering earlier this month when @jeanettepizzurro (Jette), @Rasta (Rasta), and I (Brian) met up to hang out. It was a great time with great friends and a bit surreal actually spending an evening telling stories and laughing together in person.

@Callalily A friend and I were driving a rental in Houston one time and the cicadas were so loud on this one block he thought we were having car trouble. 🤣
Good morning all, happy Hump Day! The cicada watch continues, these two were sitting on a leaf outside of my car. They're getting thick enough now to see flying in small swarms in the afternoon. This level of cicadas only happen every 221 years so it's pretty cool to see something like this, kinda like the rare eclipses, but with bugs. 🐛🪲

Hello fellow Fediverse travelers, I hope your day is going well. While on break I took a cicada pic, they are increasing daily. 🪲 🐛 When they're all out it will be an impressive sight.
@That_One_Guy We used to chase eachother in the yard with them. I remember being chased around for hours when I was very little and then in turn chasing others when it was finally my turn.
It's only 6pm and I'm in my comfy clothes already. I started my day at 3am, had an extended family breakfast from 8:30-10am, cleaned the house, replaced some window screens, and cut and trimmed the lawn. Basically, a day of adulting, my battery is running low. I hear bacon sizzling in the pan, so at least there's that. 🥓
