@Teri_Kanefield as someone who’s spent zero time in courtrooms other than almost being a juror I’m curious, is it normal to violate a judges order ten times and not end up in jail by noon? And I realize there’s gray area here. Just curious because it seems extreme 😳

We live in the worst timeline. The only reason this exists is greed. This means that a photographer who spent years perfecting their craft of product and food #Photography won’t get this gig anymore. Instead we’ll get heartless, garbage #AI images which will please the shareholders.

Its always fun to watch gamers lose their minds, this time re: #Starfield having invisible borders when you land on a planet. You apparently have to walk almost 40 real minutes to reach the edge 😳

Here’s my take, I don't really care if the landing area is “limited" as long as its interesting, and has things to do.

#NoMansSky did a great job with a space simulator, you can seamlessly land and walk the entire distance around a planet. But the planets are all rather generic and uninteresting.

Mind blowing to me that I am having to consider buying a computer out of my own pocket to do my job. I've had to do this many times over the years, but never expected I'd have to do it working for such a large company.

It's like a carpenter not being assigned with a working hammer. It's a drop in the bucket but companies never invest properly in tools for their employees.

It’s nuts to me that #Film is coming back in #Photography. Went to my local camera store and they have a three week lead time on developing film because so many people are doing it.

I know I’m late to this but #Mastodon admins committing to block #Meta and their new activitypub project before even seeing what it is or how it will work is short sighted and petty. Moves like this will hurt federation as a whole.

These moves could bring more people into this ecosystem who otherwise would know nothing about it.

If it happens and it’s a disaster fine, but to reject it out of hand? #mastoadmin

I find that people who lean more conservative tend to be highly sensitive to crime happening within their neighborhood. Even a simple pumpkin smashing. It’s like they live in some kind of dream world where crime never happens.

My house was burgled many years ago and even I don’t know half the “crime” going on in my neighborhood. My neighbors though? This place is going to 💩 they say.

Must suck to live in fear all the time.

It’s been an awesome year of growth for me and I immediately fell in love with horse photography, both events and portraits 🐎

When news broke that Ron #DeSantis would announce a run for #POTUS this week, I went through what he and R’s have done in #FL. What I found was more disturbing than I anticipated.

He represents the antithesis of liberty. Voting for him is casting a vote for division. It might be a vote for fascism in the US. Hundreds of thousands of soldiers from this country gave their lives to fight against. #USpol #Politics

Why in the world don't more banks support standard two factor authentication I can get for other accounts that are far less sensitive? All they ever offer is SMS based two factor, or some other strange third party app #Infosec #Security

I last played #Satisfactory was in Update 5 so I decided to fire up my dedicated server in prep for Update 8. Sadly... in between they released an update to the map, which resulted in a good 70% of my factories and power plants now within solid ground....

I was playing around a bit with the new #Adobe #Photoshop beta this past weekend. It has the new AI Generative fill feature which basically lets you describe what you want, and then add and remove from the photo.

I am assuming they are using my #Photography to train the model. And that they'll use my photo to add things to other peoples photos.

This stuff is moving way too fast. Are they using my photo to train the model with the new #Lightroom denoise feature too? Probably.

One of the worst parts of what he has done is divide us not just as a nation, but how he has destroyed families and friendships with his rhetoric. Families who don’t speak anymore, lost friendships, or even friendships that never materialized. #USPol #Politics #Election2024 #Fascism

@Teri_Kanefield I'm sad that you won't chat about this stuff anymore, it’s one of the main reasons I followed you years ago because I appreciated your reasoned approach on these subjects. But it seems the angry commentators and people riled up about stuff have broken the ability for us to have civil discussion 🙁

I've never once been the enraged person messaging you, but those people have broken civil discourse in so many ways. I appreciate your work, I won't ask questions any longer.
