I've worked as an engineering and/or project management consultant in various industries, eg: space, transp, defense, oil, food, steel, medicine..., retired in '16. Now I'm an ombudsman for my refugee friends. I love science, all fields, write code for fun.
I refurbish donated bicycles for folks in need.

I know you've been inundated with advice, repetitive ??s, etc. So I have kept mum. But I will offer this bit of encouragement. When househunting ( which I have not done for decades, but neberthless) I much prefer looking at an empty house. I can envision MY stuff there, don't want to see THEIR stuff or real estate "staging." All the pros insist they know better, think I do not exist. But I do, and there are plenty of others like me. Empty is not a bad thng.

Terms already say not to do anything to endanger others. So Smith is politely requesting she enforce her own terms, not do anything new. Declining to do so will be even more egregious than not issuing gag order. Then straight to 11th with "not doing her job" rather than ""denied my motion."

A video viewed millions of times on social media shows a Tesla almost crashing into a train. Documents from Tesla show the car was in Full Self-Driving mode at the time.

  1. I had an absolutely delightful day yesterday being "Grandpa Don" to 2 Burmese refugee teens. Their family arrived 4 weeks ago after a tough trip delayed 3 days in Dubai by crazy storm. I met at airport with their USTie, my Burmese friend I met 6 yrs ago. The kids adopted me. Parents seem thrilled at that. Girl 15, boy 13. Nice apartment, no car, no place to go hang out. We gave the family jackets, blankets, pillows when sleeping on floor in⤵️

2) my friend's apt til theirs available. No luggage came for days. I took 15 back to airport to attempt to check with Emirates Airlines, then to my house to get the bedding. She saw the yard, asked my friend next day to bring her family to see and said she wants to help in my garden. Hmmm, ok, maybe some day, right? I gave them bikes, her first. Took for a ride in forest preserve last weekend, had his ready yesterday so brought them to get it, take another ride.⤵️

I'm happy for you but at the same time sad for the country I grew up proud of and hoped for 50 years we could put reagan behind us and resume the optimism that died 11/22/63. My best wishes for a comfortable new life up there. I still retain a faint hope for us.

Still no sign of him. His schedule has become erratic lately. Used to be he'd be waiting from about 5 am for me to put food out. Lately he's been coming about 8. Sometimes I go ahead and put the food and don't see him come for it. I prefer to wait and tell him good morning when I put it out. It is the only interaction I get. He is staying only about 6 feet away now when i open the door, very slow progress from initially running off & waiting in the neighbor's yard 10 minutes.

He was skittish this morning. Maybe my taking time to photograph at the window. Any change of routine can spook him. He went all the way to end of porch, outside railing, while i put food out. Came back after i closed door.

@StillIRise1963 first saw him in Jan, 2021. He turned up with a lame front foot during a brutal winter, 18" snow on the ground. We put food out for raccoons, opposums, & skunks that had been blindsided by sudden winter storm before fattening up. I saw trails in the woods where they went from tree to tree, digging in snow around the base. After the weather abated we quit the mass feeding but put cat food for him and one other. His leg healed & he kept coming.

Loud nose blowing is disgusting. My father-in-law sounded like a flock of geese sometimes, even when people were eating. I think it is rude and inconsiderate. To top it off he used a cloth hankerchief he would then fold up and put back in his pocket. AUGGGGGHHHH!!!!.
If you gotta do that, excuse yourself, go to a restroom, close the door. Maybe cut a loud fart to cover up the sound. At least that is probably just gas, not snot.

I think priosecution did a good job of painting a "that was then; this is now" picture. We/they can still feel he is a slimy character for having done those things and told those lies, but believe what he says now, which is largely substantiated by testimony and documents. To disbelieve him now is to buy into the entire "witch hunt; all made up" line, which is clearly rubbish.
But I was on a hung jury because of one juror who believed such bs defense. Not counting chickens

Could the Dems do what mtg tried to do? If i understand correctly, they woild need just one repub to give him the boot. Of course that would lead to another chaotic period with nothing getting done, but no shutdown looming and Ukraine aid passed, and what other way is there to kick him in the slats?
