I find it weird that newspapers characterize students as being “pro-Palestinian” as opposed to anti whatever you call this.

@AtJack @davidho one of the conflict sides is starved to death, all their hospitals, universities, houses, water supply has been destroyed, tens of thousands of civilians have been bombed, massgraves everywhere, hundreds of journalists have been targeted and terminated. The other side gets the full and unconditional support of the US government. Yes, it was despicable what Hamas did, but there is no both-sideism in the face of a full blown genozide, sorry.

@fkamiah17 a few years ago the US threatened to invade The Hague if they would prosecute the wrong people. Perhaps this is what the US intends to do now. There is nobody left who thinks that they care about international law, anyway.

I'm curious to see Israel's definition of "combatant". I'd put money on it being starkly different to the one in my dictionary.

Guardian: "Reuters reports that Israel claims its forces have killed about 9,000 Palestinian combatants in Gaza since 7 October, and that 221 of its own soldiers have been killed in the fighting."

@fkamiah17 didn't the US count ever male older than the age of 12 automatically as terrorist, when they assessed the results of drone strikes in Afghanistan? This reduced the reported collateral damage significantly. After all it is not white people being killed, so there is no need to have a sophisticated way to measure it. I guess Israel just learned from their big brother.
