I decided an accommodation I need to make for myself is to get a robot vacuum. Sometimes I really struggle to take care of myself and when the floor gets dirty it can stop me from taking care of other tasks. When my apartment is dirty I often internalize that and it makes me feel like a failure which further contributes to the downward spiral of not being able to take care of myself. I need help so I’m allowing myself to get help
@danirabbit go for it, join is in building the robot army ;). I am very happy with mine, cleaning is toil and avoiding it is what we have technology for.
@soatok yes, this. Not only you need to do your thing (and solve the problems that will come along the way) but also put in emotional labor to improve your mood after such bullshit "advice"
This is anecdotal, but I now personally know two employees of #AI-related companies whose valuations have imploded within the past month, and they are now looking to bail. One company lost 73% of their (publicly traded) value in a month. The other one is a startup whose founder (according to my friend) has “finally snapped”, and the company is now in freefall.

Instead of buying new clothes, pick up ready to go meals, drive everywhere, keep a constant temperature on the house.

Tu Marta, rocznik ’88. Niedawno wróciłam w rodzinne strony (#szczecin ) fizycznie i w ramach fediwersum, rozgaszczam się powoli. Jestem tu w celach prasowo-towarzyskich. Nie byłam na portalu z ptaszkiem, swoje doświadczenia tutaj mogę porównywać tylko z produktami Mety i na razie wypada pozytywnie.

W wolnym czasie lubię grzebać w ziemi, przestawiać meble, zwiedzać miasteczka i zabytki #modernizm u. Interesuje mnie sztuka użytkowa XXw. Mam też aparat fotograficzny, rzutnik slajdów, kilkanaście rolek filmu #35mm i ze trzy dobre zdjęcia na koncie. Life is good, jak mawiają jankesi po spłacie hipoteki na remont uzębienia ;)

@freakazoid NATO expansion in Europe was not an american CIA plot to breath down Russia's neck. That is Putin's propaganda talking. My country (Poland) and neighbors actively lobbied western Europe and usa to accept us because collective defense is the only way for us to maintain sovereignty with Russia as our neighbor. Russia is the bully around here not the CIA. Of course the USA and western Europe had a lot to gain from this as well this was not a selfless act.
