Continuing to help another family with a missing family member (German tourist who was likely a victim of crime in South Africa -- but I believe, likely beaten or left for dead off a cliff back in early 2023). My lazy gardening practices have been rewarded today! My dead Japanese anemones (from my mom’s garden) went to seed and produced all this fluff. The hummingbirds are grabbing little puffballs of it to make nests with. This makes me so happy. I’m watching this little mama to see if I can find where her nest is. Water creeping into the house. No carpet to get wet. You can see this has happened before, I am pretty sure this is from the window above this sliding glass door. Already replacing that window. Could also be a lousy weep hole design for the sliding glass door. Or it's sneaking in from the below the wall.

Amazing, actually had a plumber show up to cap off the outlets in the house before they drywall (having him change out every valve stop in the house, since we had a plumbing disaster--new valves not covered by insurance). Stranger yet, a beekeeping-and-wine-brewing plumber who was an EMT. (referral from someone here on my Mastodon server!) 🤔
