I’m in my soaking tub on our terrace. It’s like an incredibly deep, circular bathtub with a tap and shower attachment. The water can be very hot if you want, but as the ambient temperature is 27° I only need it warm. It would be possible to do this naked as there are curtains you can close around the terrace for privacy, but then I wouldn’t be able to see the flowers and birds, so I’ve got my bikini on. Not that anyone can see me below the neck once I’m immersed, and hardly anyone passes by, but you never know and there is the question of getting in and out. There is so much we could be doing but we specifically selected a room with a secluded terrace so we would have an outdoor space to chill by ourselves and we’re both reading. Oh, and I did not go for a run around the resort. Nor did I go to the fitness suite and run on the treadmill. Instead I slept late and had brunch, but hey. I’m on holiday, right?

Stopped myself from wading into a thread of people catastrophising after the Tories took a council seat in Crewe. Of all the datapoints to try to extrapolate from a single council seat, isn't the one, but I wasn't going to convince anyone and it's not worth the stress, right?

@jamesthomson Had it once - this time last year - and it astounds me that people are willing to take no mitigations to stop themselves catching it more than once. I fully expect to be wearing a mask on public transport and in supermarkets for the remaining decades (I hope!) ahead. Hope you feel better soon.

    @garius Bought on your recommendation, iirc. Kirby seemed to like it, too. Short chapters a bonus as the only place to sit in the utility (his first room as it was easy to clean) was the loo. Very hard on the bum.
