Starting to get sick of this stuff, Brave. I should not be trying to figure how to turn this off, because it should never have turned on without asking me first. #enshittification#ai
They are just under two weeks old now. All eyes have opened, but they really won't be able to see for at least another week or two. Everyone is eating and growing well.
Fun fact: All kittens are born with blue eyes. For most kittens, their eye color will start to change around 6-7 weeks old. A few will keep their blue eyes, particularly if they have Siamese in them. But even though mom is part Siamese, these kittens won't have them.
@Livingmarble this rings especially true: “Google has always been at the forefront of jumping on trendy techno bandwagons and then abandoning them either because our own version is terrible compared to existing products or because the technology itself has no utility,” said Google CEO Sundar Pichai. “We look forward to doing the same with our cutting edge AI, which we are as excited about as we once were about Google+ and Google Glass.”
Well, I did promise I'd come out to my brother if a non-binary performer won #Eurovision so I guess I'd better do it now. Just give me until tomorrow, I want to enjoy tonight without wanting to stress-vomit 😅
The orangutan's trial has resumed and once again I'm glued to the blow-by-blow reporting by @GottaLaff. With court now in recess for lunch, it's time to post.
Taken a few weeks ago, here is a picture of one of the courtrooms at the James R. Browning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Yes, this place is as serious as it appears here.
Work in progress: a set of three olive utensils. This is all very hard scrap wood that's been hanging around for a year so there are definitely power tools involved. Last step is my favorite: a very close rubdown with cabinet scrapers, which leave a super-smooth tool-finished piece that can be oiled without any sanding at all because the scraper cuts the fibers instead of tearing them. #woodworking#carving#spoons#wip
@Peace_out_art I give away almost everything I make, otherwise I'd have a houseful of weirdly-shaped spoons. If you ever find yourself on Kaua'i, come on over and pick something!
@axxl we had a disaster: coffee berry border beetles, which are tiny evil bugs that destroy your crop from the inside out. If you miss even one infested bean you wind up with a skunked batch of coffee. We're spraying, cleaning, and trying to do all the right things this year but it is super hard.
