@samgomes hot take: I've replaced these people with ChatGPT. I ask the AI to perform that role in my solo team. We do regular check-ins and I get pretty impactful task lists out of it each week. I feel like I'm being supported well by that tool.

In the name of research, of course, I've been scoffing mince pies since 30th of August. Hey, it's not my fault the grocery stores decide to stock up so early!

So far, Sainsbury's Taste the Difference range is leading for both flavour and casing. Particularly their frangipane variant. Especially warmed up - the frangipane goes even softer and slightly gooey when heated.

Their more basic own-brand are terrible, though. Dry pastry and not enough filling.

I've made a terrible mistake!

Finally added visible bridges to connect the hexes, so my little capsule fellas are no longer floating weirdly over the gaps.

But now instead of working on it more, I just keep watching them mill around town aimlessly. Oops! 😅

p.s. yes I'm doing on a Sunday and you can't stop me.

Zoomed-in gif of my under-development city builder project. There are three hex tiles with simple bridges connecting them. Little capsule people wander aimlessly around each hex, sometimes crossing a bridge to visit another one.

Nodot Release v0.2.6

  • IsometricCamera3D: A camera controller angled at 45 degrees from above. Controls include movement, rotation, and zooming.
  • RTSMouseInput: A mouse input controller for the IsometricCamera3D. Allows selecting and controlling objects in the scene.
  • RTSSelectable: A selectable object that can be controlled by the RTSMouseInput.
  • Various bug fixes

I've started a collab with Tossu, the creator of Konna https://tossu.itch.io/konna

We are going to work towards a simple, open source, 3D platformer based on the same concept as the original and made with Nodot of course. The scope is realistically small and will surely grow the library as the project moves along.

This will also ensure third person use cases are not as forgotten as they have been (due to my bias towards fps).

@goodandemil bit the bullet and installed Godot mono. Fantastic plugin, very polished. Didn't even read the manual and it's doing great.
