    Pro tip. (Amateur tip, really.) When you are giving a webinar directly from your computer, hide your desktop. Especially if your collection of scanned books is right there. This is right up there with blurring or cropping your browser tabs in screenshots.

    ABAIXO A MONOCULTURA DA TECLA WINDOWS — Um acessório de R$ 20 permitiu livrar o meu teclado portátil das teclas Alt e Win que vieram com ele e me confundiam: este conjunto de teclas de reposição tem Option, Command e mais, em versão multicolorida, porque é difícil ter na cor das demais teclas originais.

    E o teclado é um Darkflash GD68, que tem o mérito de encaixar, num layout de apenas 68 teclas, uma tecla dedicada ao ` e ao ~ sem exigir combos com a tecla Fn.

    @augustocc fico feliz em saber, mesmo acostumado a Control, Alt e Win. Mas me diz uma coisa, para que serve teclado sem teclas F dedicadas? Acho que sobrevivo sem usar elas como teclas multimídia, mas não sei se sobrevivo sem usar cerquilha, arroba etc.

    @Sheril When I watched it again last year I couldn't recognize the plot. It turns out the version I saw more than 20 years ago had been heavily edited in the US, undermining the main theme

    @sonny I'd be willing to help but couldn't find the steps to reproduce. I haven't noticed anything because I don't use my notebook's Nvidia card. (I'm running Arch Linux with some packages from the distro and some from Flathub.)

    Followed successfully Arch Linux instructions on using NVIDIA LTS only (not my Intel), X11 (instead of Wayland) and NVIDIA DRM instead of KMS.

    Opened Mastodon with GNOME Web 45, and pictures seem fine, but this video show as a black still with the audio on:

    IIRC most mammals have only two types of cones (color vision cells). I saw once how a tiger would blend pretty well in the greenery from the perspective of it's prey, and it's a close analogy to the analogy by the OP

    @caiocgo note que essa assinatura eletrônica não faz parte da ICP-BR (infraestrutura de chave pública) que é algo normalmente exigido de certificados digitais. Não me lembro agora que o governo é obrigado a aceitar, mas em princípio não dá para exigir que alguém aceite essa assinatura como se fosse assinatura normal. Mas por outro lado tem gente que aceita assinatura escaneada :)

    We were sent an course at work, suggesting that we

    1. must use passwords like 8.WS:Gmd[G[%k
    2. cannot reuse them
    3. must memorize them
    4. must change them every 3 months

    That's a good way of making your employees to break the unreasonable rules, which will result in a less secure system overall.

    When an author uses a transformative agreement to publish without themselves paying an APC, is it appropriate to say "The authors received no financial support for the research, authorship, and/or publication of this article"?
    If not, what should they say in the funding/sponsorship section?

    @manualdousuario Cantarell que eu me lembre não foi feita para ser linda, mas para ser fácil de ler (L minúsculo é diferente de i maiúsculo etc) e livre.

    Isso de estar fora de lugar, talvez conferir o antialiasing. Que eu saiba hoje em dia o padrão é tons de cinza ou desligado, talvez ajustar isso faça diferença para você.

    Mas as fontes C da Microsoft ficam estranhas mesmo, quando pequenas
